In honor of four of the cats that graced our shelter office and grounds for many, many years the four cat rooms in the medical/intake building were named after them. Some may be familiar to many of you. Dak, Penelope, Tango, and Patrick. These rooms will not be open to the public but we wanted to give you an opportunity to see the specialness of them and share them with you so those of you who may remember Dak's sunbathing, Penelope's donation corner, Tango & Patrick's help with paperwork can see just a little bit of the thought and love that went into this facility.🐈🩷 Along with these four rooms, we will also have four community cat rooms, or "cattios" as we are calling them, and two adoption rooms where the public can come and visit our feline Darlings. If you can't tell, we are beyond excited.

Meet Charli's crew & Charli!
Charli came in this week with her crew, and they are on a mission to get adopted!
The kittens are about 8 weeks old and we estimate that Charli is about a year, possibly a little younger than that. All are as adorable as can be. Adopters can apply online at DarlingtonHumane.org.

Thank you to everyone who came out and toured our new facility today. It was so nice to get to meet some of you and chat with you in person. We are moving in the first week of December and we couldn't be more excited! 🐈This little guy is up on the side of our intake/medical building. Isn't he purrfect?

Meet Nick, Leila, Jones, Taylor, and Phillip!
These guys came into the shelter in bad shape. They were covered in ringworm, had upper respiratory issues, worms, so many problems but just look at them now! They went to our Darlington County Humane Society Bridge Facility and were taken care of for weeks. Had to go to the vet's office multiple times to make sure they were well and on the road to recovery. They have been in foster care where they have been cared for and been allowed to run, roam, and just be kittens. They get along with other cats and dogs.
3 of their siblings have already gone into adoption but not before their vet bill got a little high. Can you help us pay for their medical costs? They are also available for adoption!
They are about 12 weeks old, up-to-date on vaccines, fiv/felv negative, and ready to be in your home just in time for the holidays! Apply today at: DarlingtonHumane.org

WE ARE MOVING SOOOOON!!!🐈🚛
LET'S CLEAR SOME KENNELS!
As you know, we have our letter of occupancy which means moving day is coming! Let's get some of our feline Darlings into homes before that day not only for their well being but so we don't have to move them. 🤣
We've all had to move, we can't exactly have a traditional yard sale but we can have a CAT SALE!!!
$40 adoption fees on all cats, waived adoption fees on our long-term cats, working cats, and medical cats. $25 s/n deposit may apply. The bottom line in animal sheltering here at the Darlington County Humane Society is we could not save the lives we do if it were not for our rescue partners! Today, we spotlight Lucky Dog Animal Rescue - Team South Carolina and give an update on Adeline who left our shelter in August of this year. Just look at her glow-up! From her new mom "I can’t believe it’s been 2 months, she has adjusted so well! She and our resident cat have adjusted very well and we all love having her in our family! - Vanessa"
Isn't she beautiful? Thank you to Vanessa for loving her and to Lucky Dog Animal Rescue - Team South Carolina for taking her and so many other Darlings (both cats and dogs)! They also have a spay/neuter program. They have been a welcome addition to our community.
