We are here to showcase the available cats for adoption & rescue, communicate with our community and highlight the needs of the Darlington County Humane Society in Darlington, SC. In an effort to better service our community, the Darlington County Humane Society Shelter will be open by appointment only. All potential adopters should fill out an application and if approved, will be given informatio

We are counting down to ! We're just 6 days away! Why is Giving Tuesday important? ❤️ Your donations help us help cats and kittens like Serena here. Serena has been with us since June. She and her sisters had ringworm. (WE HATE RINGWORM!) Ringworm automatically makes any cat's stay at least 6 weeks in order to treat. It requires special medications to treat, takes up a entire room at the shelter, and requires diagnostic testing in order for us to put them on rescue rides. Donations from you, help make all of that possible! We hope you will join us again this year in support of our Darlings. We need your help to save more lives. Together, we accomplish great things!

Meet Star!
This 15 week old beauty has been in foster care for a while now. She is sweet, snuggly, up-to-date on vaccinations, ready to make someone's holiday bright with her vibrant personality. Interested adopters can apply at DarlingtonHumane.org, already approved adopters can reach out to our Cat Coordinator at [email protected]. She is in foster care so any meet-and-greet will need to be scheduled, but that is not an issue. He adoption fees are sponsored thanks to the Abbott Foundation.

We are counting down to ! We're just 7 days away! Why is Giving Tuesday important? ❤️ Your donations help us help cats and kittens like Poki here. Poki has been with us since May. She is FIV+ which make her more diffiult to get adopted but she is so easy to love! She loves to snuggle, coo, and talk to you. She's had a few medical setbacks due to her immune deficency, it's a little more difficult to get her well again, so her medical bills are a little higher than others when she gets sick. We also like to offer cats with her medical needs with sponsored adoption fees year round to help move them out of the shelter. Donations from you, help make all of that possible! We hope you will join us again this year in support of our Darlings. We need your help to save more lives. Together, we accomplish great things!

We are counting down to ! We're just 8 days away! Why is Giving Tuesday important? ❤️ Your donations help us help cats and kittens like Dottie here. She came in this year with her 3 kittens from animal control. She was able to safely take care of them and love and nurture them in a safe environment until they were old enough to take care of themselves. Families like this need a little extra care from our staff and that takes donations from you for medical and food support. We hope you will join us again this year in support of our Darlings. We need your help to save more lives. Together, we accomplish great things!

Come meet these two sweeties! They have been with us for a while now, since June. They are good with other cats and an be adopted together or separately. They are both spayed, and ready to go home today! Ask to see them in our cattios! Their adoption fees are sponsored thanks to the Nemec Abbott Foundation.
