Herd wellness! Haluch’s flyspray is keeping our herd happy and bug free. 🦆🐪🐎🐖🐄🦌

The blue bottle has some awesome benefits. It contains rosemary oil, cedar oil, wintergreen oil, peppermint oil and more.

Did you know rosemary oil stimulates hair growth, has anti-inflammatory properties, and can help reduce stress?

Cedar oil is great for cleansing the skin and removing dandruff from the coat.

Wintergreen also helps with alot of skin conditions.

Peppermint oil can help reduce itchy skin and sooth irritation plus is a natural SPF!!

All of these amazing properties help deter bighting bugs as the added benefit.

Pick up your bottle at Haluch’s All Natural Bug Spray!!

Have doggos 🐕 and kitkits 🐈 ? Their red bottle is only cedarwood oil which is an approved safe essential oil for dogs and cats!

Let's moooo talk!
I feel like cattle get a bad reputation of being dirty, fence destroying, mud creating, unintelligent animals. These misconceptions come from lack of maintenance and training on the human caretakers side. Cattle were one of the first domestic animals. Back in the day people who could not afford a horse had cattle. With training cattle can pull carts, plow fields, and be ridden. Let's discuss a few points.

1) They are dirty: eh...not wrong here. They can be dirty. They will p**p wherever they are. They don't just go in a favorite spot. Their manure is called cow patties as it resembles thick pancake batter. If you treat them like you would your other animals and do paddock clean up. They become no more dirty than a horse. You can also rake your fields as cow manure is free fertilizer! It won't kill your field like horse manure/urine will. Funfact. Horses actually cause soil PH levels to rise. Our moos are always super clean as we groom them daily! They LOVE to be groomed. They will cuddle with you while you brush them. It actually puts them into a trance.

2) Fence destroying: you will run into this issue with heifers, cows, and bulls. They are hormone driven. They are food and procreating fuled. This is where there is a huge advantage to owning a steer (or freemartin). As long as you never under feed them they will not be hormone driven and will hang out in your pasture like the big grass puppies that they are!

3) Mud creating: cattle do not create mud anymore than your horse will. Mud is created through lack of attention to detail and poor drainage. Maintaining a clean field and drainage is the priority of most farms. Clean manure and rake up uneaten hay. Don't leave it to fester and create mud. Our moo friends do not create anymore mud than our horses.

4) Unintelligent: they are smarter than you think. They can learn routines. As I said before they can plow, pull, and be ridden. They tend to be brave mounts. Far less spooky than some horses. They can learn voice commands and their names. With proper training they can learn to pick up their feet for farrier care just like a horse can. Most of mine already understand how to neck rein and are 1yrs old and under! *you can't compare feral unhandled cattle to trained/handled cattle*

Consider a steer (or two) as an addition to your herd! You will not regret it. They are alot of fun and such loving animals.

Our Story

Do you remember when you first fell in love with horses? The first time you saw them running in a field. The first time you felt their whiskers and soft lips graze the palm of your hand. The first time the smell of the barn filled your lungs. The first time you heard them nicker happily to you. The first time you swung your leg over and sat on a horse. These memories will stick with you for the rest of your life. Archangel Equestrian is the home of many memories. The start of childhood dreams coming true.

Archangel Equestrian is owned and run by Melissa Sylvia. Melissa is the creator of Archangel’s most popular program “Horses in Warfare” This program consists of Classical/Western Dressage, Mounted Archery, Mounted Sparring and Trick Training. Melissa also specializes in training off the track thoroughbreds, ground driving, and rehabbing horses. She works one on one with her students to help them set goals, overcome fears, and enhance their riding by using her understanding of rider body mechanics as well as teaching riders “feel” through dressage. In addition students will learn safety, how to respond in emergency situations in the saddle and on the ground. Each lesson is catered specially for the rider and each lesson has a takeaway message. Melissa is also a clinician. She has traveled all over to teach clinics on Mounted Archery, Horses in Warfare, as well as Safety First.

Archangel Equestrian is home to the Nerd Herd (follow them on facebook at “The Nerd Herd” and instagram “aee_the_nerd_herd”!) Archangel Equestrian is located on a beautiful 22.1 acre farm in Dartmouth MA. We are just a 13 minute walk to the roomy Destruction Brook trails and a short trailer rider to the Lloyd Center Beach. We have well groomed warm up/cool down trails that boarder our property. We have a beautiful 8 acre fenced in grass field that is set up with a jump course, cloverleaf barrels, and our mounted archery range. In the back of our property is a gorgeous 4 acre cross country course that is both grass and wooded terrain. At the front of our property is a small grass ring for more focused schooling as well as a round pen for beginner riders.
