Housman Pyrs has been breeding Great Pyrenees pups since 2011. AKC Registered. Genetically Tested. We are an organic farm north of Dassel, MN.

Our Great Pyrenees puppies are AKC registered, DNA tested, and bred for good health and temperament. Our focus on good nutrition, starting with the moms and dads, gives our puppies a great start in life. Are dogs are all "working" to some degree on our farm, though sometimes of the year there's not enough work to go around. :)

This is our Luna - loving, snuggly and playful.
It’s with a heavy heart that we are looking to rehome our 3 year old Pyr. She is a super sweet girl and absolutely loves all people, including kids. She gets along great with our 8 year old lab mix, but she does take some time to adjust to other dogs. We have found she needs to be with a family where she can spend most (if not all) of her time outside. We aren’t able to provide that as we don’t have the space and have multiple neighbors with roaming dogs, who she doesn’t always get along with. We’ve also started a family, 2 under 3, and just aren’t able to fit her needs. We wouldn’t be reaching out if this wasn’t our last resort, we’ve tried gps collars, fencing her in, and training but all she wants it to roam free. Even through the winter, outside is where she wants to be and when inside it’s too much. She is spayed. We’re hoping to find a family that can give her plenty of love while also having space for her to be outside. We are located in the Minneapolis, MInnesota area. Hello everyone. I haven't done this for a long time, but I'm posting a question for one of my customers... She is looking to bring a puppy home, but is concerned about her work schedule and leaving the puppy home alone. About a week or so after the pup could come home, she would be returning to work - gone from roughly 8am to 3:30pm.. probably able to come home for lunch. In your experience would she be able to make this work - considering things like potty training, pup getting lonely, etc. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
