To all my Riversides customers, this is hard post for me. So many of you and your pets have become like part of my family. After almost 17 years, I have sold the kennel. This was a very hard decision for me but as most of you know, the last couple years my health has not been the best (this stupid foot of mine). I will miss all the pups and owners. Some of you have been a part of our lives since the day we opened and I want to thank you all for trusting us to care for you babies.
I couldn’t have run the kennel for so many years without the help of my great employees, some whom have been there for years. They have always loved your pups just like one of their own. There have been many over the years but there are a few whom I couldn’t have done this without. Aj, Jodie, Lex and Sue, I love you all, your are a part of my family forever.
The new ladies who have bought the kennel are from our town right here in Dauphin and have been working with us for a couple weeks already. They have some great plans for the kennel and some of the employees will be staying, so your pups will already know them. I will also be staying for a little while to help with the transition, so please stop in and meet Liz and Lucy if you can. I believe they have a post on Dauphin chit chat so you can find their web site. The kennel number will be the same so you can give us a call. All your current reservations are still good. We will close and they will reopen the same day on Oct 20th.
Last but not least, I need to thank my family for all the support and love over the years. I couldn’t of done it without you. To Jeff, my wonderful husband, designer and handyman of the kennel, thank you for getting me my dream and helping me all these years. Without you there would of never been a Riversides Kennel. Now it’s our time to spend doing what we love, being with our family, loving our grand babies, or whatever we decide to do on a whim. Can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Puppies just left for their forever homes. We will miss them but they are staying close so we will get to see them . Thank you to the two wonderful families they are going to. Have fun hope you all got some rest last night it might be a loud night tonight.

The pups were out exploring on this beautiful day. They are a little over 4 weeks old and enjoying this big new world. I miss having a big litter but can say it is so much easier taking care of only two.

We are looking for part time help at the kennel. Hours are 8-11am and 5-7pm must work some weekends and holidays. Must be over 18. Must be hard working and a dog lover. Give us a call at the kennel or stop by at those times.

Congratulations to Bill Drawl and Molly for taking first place in the Nittany puppy trial. Molly is one of our pups from last year’s breeding of Riversides Honey Howard and End Game owed by Justin Evans. This years pups from this same breeding will be born around Mother’s Day. Can’t wait to see how they will turn out.

Mark your calenders!

We are putting the final touches on the painting and repairs and will be reopening on March 1! We have missed everyone and can't wait to see you all soon!

Grooming will be opening (by appointment only) Monday thru Saturday. We have hired a new groomer for our Monday-Thrusday friends and Sue will be taking her current clients Friday & Saturday.

Please help us keep our groomers and kennel staff busy! We're excited to make this a great 16th year!

To all of our customers it’s that time of year again to freshen up the kennel. Started January 8th we will be closing to do some much needed super cleaning ,painting and repairs. We will be reopening on March 1st. Grooming will still be open and I will be in everyday to check messages. If you need to make any reservations for after March 1st or for grooming just leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Hope to see you all in the future. Better late then never. Finally done decorating for Halloween sorry it took so long but with my bum foot and finally taking a much needed vacation I’m done. If your in the area please stop in for a treat we have them for both humans and our furry friends. The kennel is up from 8am to 11 pm and the house from 4-11 pm except for windy days. Hope you all enjoy. Happy Halloween!

Dear Customers,

We,as a small business,were struggling to find employees and unfortunately this left us thinking we were going to have to close once summer season wrapped up. However we have been able to retain and hire some great employees and have every intention on remaining open for the foreseeable future. Should you need to board after September 11th please feel free to reach out to us. We know things have been back and forth and this has weighed heavy on our hearts as we want to remain open to serve all of you. With the help of our employees we will be able to continue to provide our loyal customers service. Thank you all for the support of our business. All bathed and vetted now to their new homes. The pups leave on Saturday to start their new lives in their new homes. We will miss them but are very happy they all have great homes to go to. Bye babies!❤️
