Scott County Kennel Club

Scott County Kennel Club Serving the Illinois and Iowa communities since 1943 with quality canine instruction in all aspects of competitive and companion training.

We offer training classes for agility, conformation, herding, obedience, puppies, scent work, and rally. We also host American Kennel Club licensed shows and trials, an annual genetic screening clinic, and fun events throughout the year. Our membership meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

The annual competition features about 2,000 dogs of 205 different dog breeds all competing for the prestigious title of “Best in Show.”

On October 15th five puppies and owners completed the SCKC, AKC STAR Puppy Program.

The seven week course of training emphasizes Socialization, Training, Activity and Responsibility. The course is designed to enhance bonding between a puppy and its owners while building confidence during their training journey.

The next STAR Puppy Course will be offered starting November 5th @ 5:15 PM at the Scott County Kennel Club. There is still space available. Please visit the link below for more information.

On July 27th, Eight puppies and their owner/handlers graduated from the SCKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program. S.T.A.R. Stands for,
Socialization, Training, Activity and Responsibility.

The STAR Training is completed over a seven week period of time and is puppy training (6 months and younger) that encompasses the AKC Canine Good Citizen Standards.

The next S.T.A.R. Training will begin on September 3rd 2024 at 5:15 PM. See the Scott County Kennel Club Training Website for more details.
