Is your pet afraid of loud fireworks? 🧨

As we start creeping up on the 4th of July, we encourage everyone to start thinking of what their pet will need to get through this holiday safely.

If your pet freaks out when the fireworks start cracking, we can prescribe medications to help them stay calm during the event. Make sure your pet is current on their annual exam before we can prescribe meds, and we always recommend doing a medication trial before the 4th to make sure your pet responds well.

💥We also recommend that all pets be microchipped in the event that they run away from your house out of fear! 💥

❇️Not to worry, it won’t be for a few months and only about a mile or so down the road, still in Davenport. But, yes, we are expanding into a building with a little more elbow room. ❇️

The three most common ticks in New York State are the deer (black-legged) tick, the American dog tick and the lone star tick.

Adult ticks, which are approximately the size of sesame seeds, are most active from March to mid-May and from mid-August to November.

Now is the time to prepare your pets for fireworks. Please don’t wait! 🎇🎆
