This Crested gecko was presented to us with a ruptured eye after a traumatic event. Though he lost the eye, we suspect the bubble near the eye socket is leftover tissue trying to heal itself.
Otherwise, the little gecko is doing just well and should live a normal life.

It was so exciting to work with this cool, but rare species, the Earless Monitor Lizard (Lanthanotus borneensis). This odd-looking lizard is not very common in the reptile trade, and when they are kept in optimal condition, they are seldom seen, as they love to hide under leaf litter or under water.
Thanks to for letting us work with them.

Yep, the holidays are over and it’s back to work. No more lazing around. Happy Monday 😁πŸ¦₯

01/04/2025

Secondary Nutritional Hyperparathyroidism (MBD or calcium deficiency) is still a relatively common issue seen in reptiles with poor diet and husbandry. This little bearded dragon was surrendered with this condition and had most likely been kept with improper lighting and diet. Feeding only insects to bearded dragons is never recommended, and even worse if the insects haven’t been properly gut-loaded. This issue takes a little time to develop but takes longer to correct.
And when corrected, it usually leaves bone deformities for life.
