Giving Back in Swannanoa, NC. 💙⛰️ Last Saturday, some of our BaseCamp team members and their families traveled to Swannanoa, NC—one of the many small mountain towns devastated by Hurricane Helene just weeks ago. We partnered with our newest MOVES specialist, Dr. Ben Brunson, Board-certified internist from Asheville, to connect us with a local veterinary staff member impacted by the storm. Through Dr. Brunson, we met Christine Hart, a Swannanoa resident who faced unimaginable loss. Not only did she and her family lose their home, vehicles, and all personal belongings, but Christine also lost Beacon Veterinary Hospital, the clinic she works at and considers a second home. 🐾🩺 Rebuilding this community will take time and effort. Our team rolled up their sleeves to help clear debris, remove mud, and provide some hot meals. We are deeply grateful to Christine and her family for sharing their story and allowing us to lend a hand. Reflecting on an unforgettable MOMENTUM24! 🌟🌴 Last week, MOVES team members and guests traveled to Charleston, SC, where we immersed ourselves in the beauty of the city, connected with colleagues, and celebrated all that we have accomplished. We enjoyed insightful continuing education sessions led by the incredible Dr. Marie Holowaychuk, a Board Certified specialist in small animal emergency and critical care. Team members also bonded over a company-wide scavenger hunt through the city, paddleboarding, delicious dining experiences, ghost tours, visits to Folly Beach, pickleball games, and more! The Adventures of Lulu

Board Certified Internist Dr. Amber Stiller and her assistant, Fatima, were recently invited back to Country Friends Veterinary Clinic to assist in a case of a fishing trip gone wrong. 😲🎣 Lulu, an adorable 14-year-old dachshund, had found herself in quite a predicament. While assisting her human siblings in a morning fishing adventure, Lulu couldn't resist the temptation of a bacon-baited fish hook. Cue the frantic realization of her owner as they discovered the fishing line hanging from Lulu's mouth upon returning home. With her expertise and finesse in endoscopy, Dr. Stiller tackled the procedure head-on. After a nerve-wracking 30 minutes, cheers echoed through the clinic as Dr. Stiller safely retrieved the fish hook.
