Happy Holidays, everyone, and see you next year! Spay Spa will be closed from Tuesday, December 24th through Wednesday, January 1st, 2025, and reopen Thursday, January 2nd. Until then, here’s some holiday safety tips to keep the season merry and bright for our four-legged friends!

Check out those chubby cheeks!

Salem’s a seven year old community tomcat whose hormones had him constantly fighting with other male cats - and given his multiple wounds, clearly not coming out in top! (No, Salem, we do not in fact need to “see the other guy”).

Thanks to a kind AACSAVECats volunteer, Salem was trapped and brought to our nonprofit clinic for neutering, rabies vaccination, wound care, and ear-tipping. Now he’ll be able to live a safer, healthier life with much less to worry about, and no more kittens!

Unneutered male street cats are forced by their own hormones into an endless cycle of fighting and mating, putting them at risk of serious injury and diseases like FIV and FeLV. Meanwhile female cats are left raising countless kittens who struggle to survive outside, with those who make it merely perpetuating the cycle.

Adorable adoptable sato pup Daisy Belle stopped by last week to let everyone know that underbites are trendy again! (Also for her spay day, shots, and some dental work). This sweet snaggletooth is a snugglebug and social butterfly who enjoys hanging out with canine and human friends, and has a soft spot for guys. She’s at Toby's Rescue , , so contact them and give her a home!

Christmas kitten Conrad stopped by earlier this month to make sure he could wish all who celebrate a very Merry Christmas! (And get vaccinated). He’s from our great rescue partner A Cat's Life Rescue, and has been adopted by the kind person who found him - but if you’re looking for a cool kitty to celebrate with the whole year ‘round, contact the rescue!

Everybody say hi to today’s Dog of the Day - adorable Pom-mix girl Winnie from our great rescue partner 3 Acres Rescue! She came to our nonprofit clinic for her spay day, shots, a nail trim, and our staff’s admiration.
