GROOMING AVAILABLE
Thor's family loved his grooming so much that they asked us to post his before and after grooming photos!
Our groomer, Holly, joined our team earlier this month and we have been nothing less than impressed by the way she works with her patients and the quality of groomings she provides. Her regularly scheduled days are Thursday's, Friday's, and Saturday's. Visit Holly's grooming Instagram @glamourpupz for more photos!

A special thank you to the Chafin family for sharing Thor's pictures with us!
Heartworm Disease - Microfilaria
WHAT IS HEARTWORM DISEASE?
In this video you can clearly see microfilaria, immature heartworms, moving in the blood.
Heartworm disease is a serious, damaging, and potentially fatal disease that is easily preventable.
Heartworm disease has been diagnosed in all 50 states and the average veterinary hospital in our area reports 1-5 cases per year.
Heartworm is transmited when mosquitoes bite an already affected animal and ingest the microfilaria. The microfilaria develop into infective larvae inside of the mosquito and the larvae is then carried and deposited on the skin of their next meal. Heartworm larvae migrate through the tissue and into the bloodstream of their new host, continueing to mature as they grow. Juvenile and adult heartworms primarily live in the pulmonary blood vessels on an infected pet. Within 6-7 months of infection, adult heartworms produce microfilaria.
Damage occurs early, often before a diagnosis can be made. Heartworms can clog the heart and major blood vessels leading from the heart. Heartworm disease causes permanent damage to pulmonary arteries and the damage caused by heartworm disease can remain even after the heartworms are killed. Chronic irritation from heartworms can cause inflammation and thickening of the intimal lining of the arteries.
Killing adult heartworms poses serious risk and potentially traumatic experiences to an infected pet. Treatment is often long, expensive, and painful.

Willow is our sweet, beautiful girl that was found in a box behind our hospital with her two kittens 4 months ago. We took the trio in and nursed them back to health. Willow's kittens found there furever homes very quickly and now it is time for this wonderful girl to find hers. Willow is approximately 2 years old, has a negative combo test, is up to date with vaccines, and is already spayed. She loves treats and is very food motivated. She would do best in a house with no dogs as they can intimidate her. If you or someone is interested in adopting Willow call us at 954-680-5777 or stop by the office and meet her!
