The moment my 2 cancer survivors see each other again! Chloe had osteogenic sarcoma 11 mo ago. She had her leg amputated and chemotherapy. She is in remission and 11 mo out. (Average life span post diagnosis is 3-8 mo). Then there's Teddy my Golden who is in remission from lymphosarcoma at 21 months. (Average is 9-12 mo post diagnosis). I am the most blessed veterinarian to be a part of both of there cancer journeys!! #goldenretriever #veterinarian #cancersurvivor #lymphoma #davie #extracareanimalhospital #osteosarcoma

Chloe a golden retriever that has become Teddy, my golden retriever's best friend both had cancer rechecks yesterday! Teddy was diagnosed March 26, 2023 with lymphosarcoma. Chloe was diagnosed January 23, 2024 with Osteogenic sarcoma.
The average survival time for Teddy was 8-12 months with 19 weeks of chemotherapy. He is in remission now for 21!!! Months. The average survival time for osteogenic sarcoma is 3-6 months with amputation of the affected limb and chemotherapy. Chloe is in remission now 11 months!!!
I am beyond blessed to have people like Chloe's parents trust me with her life. I am so proud both Chloe and Teddy are still here with us!
Happy Friday!😄 We just wanted to share this heartwarming video of our sweet patient, Lucy. Lucy has degenerative myelopathy which is a disease that causes a gradual loss of normal nerve fibers in the spinal cord over time. Lucy's hind limb weakness has been slowly progressing, so Dr. Thannum recommended her to get a wheelchair to aid with her mobility. Look at her go now!🥰🐾Thank you to Gunnar's wheels !🩷
I think this is the cutest I’ve ever seen him. I love my baby.
