Lucy has degenerative myelopathy which is a disease that causes a gradual loss of normal nerve fibers in the spinal cord over time. Lucy's hind limb weakness has been slowly progressing, so Dr. Thannum recommended her to get a wheelchair to aid with her mobility. Look at her go now!🥰🐾Thank you to Gunnar's wheels !🩷
We're thrilled to update everyone on Chloe's incredible progress in her battle against cancer!🩷
In January, Chloe was diagnosed with Osteogenic Sarcoma, leading to the amputation of her front left leg by Dr. Thannum. Since then, she has courageously completed four rounds of chemotherapy and is doing remarkably well! We're grateful to play a role in supporting her on this journey and bringing smiles to both our clients' and patients' faces😀

Eating small amounts of this plant can cause dangers symptoms and can even lead to death from kidney failure. Please share and help keep our fur babies safe!🐈🐈⬛🐈

Meet Clementine!🧡🐾 Clementine is a Portuguese water dog and was seen for her 13 week old puppy visit yesterday. She did so well and enjoyed yummy treats during her visit😋

Two veterinarians committed su***de this week. No one knows how it feels to do what we do. We all have issues in our lives, and sick pets. Teddy is fighting cancer, I had to fit in his chemo once a week for 19 weeks and see all my clients.
I am blessed to have amazing clients. Rarely do clients complain, rarely does anyone become verbally abusive, but there is a reason! It will not be tolerated by me. I will always put your pets first, but if you do not like how I run my practice, that’s on you. There are 2 vet hospitals every 5 miles. Someone will put up with being treated that way. We will not.
I truly love what I do as does my staff. We will accommodate just about everything if we can, but there are only so many hours in a day. It is a 24 hr a day job.

Happy Valentine's Day!❤ Chloe and Dr. Thannum are ready for the occasion, matching in their pink outfits!🐾🩷 Chloe came to see Dr. Thannum for limping on her front left leg and was sadly diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma and had to get her leg amputated. Now she is thriving, smiling, and running around happily with her pawrents. It is so rewarding seeing our patients and clients happy! This is why we do what we do! 🥰

Yesterday I had to do surgery on one of my long time clients 2 dogs. They are Bichons and prone to bladder stones. They both needed surgery again. The little girl did great, as did the boy, but he needed a more serious operation called a prescrotal urethrostomy. This is an where an incision is made into his urethra and his urethra sutures to the skin so now he will urinate from that new hole vs the tip of his p***s. This way when he develops stones again he can p*e them out through that hole and he won’t need abdominal surgery in the future. As most of you know I sometimes take my patients home for me to watch them. Well last night was no different. Boo did great and just went home with mom. She even tucked me in before bed! Thank you for trusting me with your babies.

This is the lemur, Earl who needed emergency surgery. His blood pressure was so low we shaved every vein and then his abdomen for surgery. When I retire I will be a lemur groomer!
My sweet Ellie came in today for her annual vaccines. She had her whole physical exam done on the couch!
Earl thankfully survived the surgery, he’s only a baby. If any of my clients can help you can call the hospital directly to make a donation.

WAFFLES UPDATE! Check him out! He's doing great 2 weeks after surgery! He's getting lots of exercise and walks around the lab several times a day. He has his own private suite, lots of snacks and lovin' from everyone at ECAH. His only complaint is that he would like a TV to see his daily court room shows!

Hi I'm Lily! A very nice family found me all by myself, even though they couldn't keep me they did the next best thing and brought me here where they knew that I would get treated really well and find a good home for me. The good news is I'm feeling better already, soon I'll be ready for adoption!
