We went to a local dog rescue event last weekend — my wife and I just wanted to look. 😅

There were about a dozen pups in one big pen, all barking like crazy. My wife pointed at a little red pit and said, “He’s cute, let’s take him out!” So we did… and he wanted absolutely nothing to do with us — pulled on the leash, ignored every word, total chaos.

Then I noticed a big, calm boy in the corner — this brown (not white 😅) handsome goofball you see here. The volunteer told us he’s about a year old, deaf, and had been adopted once before but brought back (still can’t believe that 😤).

We took him for a short walk, and he was an absolute angel. While my wife stayed to chat with the rescue team, I drove to grab his things. By the time I looked back at the backseat… this dude was already passed out like THIS! 😂

Maybe tired from the walk, maybe just enjoying his first taste of peace — either way, we knew right then he was coming home with us. ❤️🐾
