She reminds me so much of Jaxson. With the exception of her drive. Jaxson was way more chill. She is so eager to learn and she is extremely smart & confident. She was taken away from her mother & litter mates way to soon so she has to be taught many things that she would have naturally learned from staying with mom & litter mates but nonetheless she is a little rockstar. We haven’t worked with this young of a puppy since Jaxson and he will be 10 this summer but working with her makes it feel like that was yesterday. 💕

Maverick’s mom ( black & rust) , Dad ( goldish /fawn ) not sure what the actual color is called and the blue one is Maverick’s brother. Only 2 males in the litter and both were blue. I see so much of Maverick in his dad and he’s practically twins with his brother.

3 things i can’t stress enough… 1- If a dog does not have a FULL PROOFED recall , do not ever take it off leash. 2- When you are walking a dog , Stay off your phone and pay close attention to your surroundings. 3-Do not ever have the mentality “ My dog would never….” They are animals and within a split second they can do something you would have never thought they would. In all my years of having dogs & training dogs , This was a first for me. You can clearly hear the panic in my voice. I have no idea why i was asking him if his dog was good because the truth is it didn’t matter. We rescued Enzo from the streets a little over a year ago and i had no idea how he was going to react with a dog charging him. Unfortunately my glasses died as soon as the frenchie got close. I did my best to get Enzo behind me and kick the other dog away but even after i kicked him he came charging back again. At that point the man’s other dog became reactive and began barking, growling and lunging. This prevented the man from being able to get close enough to grab his other dog. The third kick was much harder and luckily he landed close to the guy and he was able to grab him by his scruff and pick him up. It all happened so fast and i knew that if Enzo wanted to he would sn**ch that small dog up and it probably would have been game over before i would even have had a chance to stop it. Thankfully Enzo was a good boy but i did see his body language change the 3rd time the dog charged. Once it was all over , i immediately felt sick to my stomach thinking about how fast that could have turned into a completely preventable tragedy. Every single time our dogs are off leash they have an e collar on and they all have perfect recalls. Very scary moment and i hope i never have to deal with that again. This would have been a heartbreaking different outcome had i been walking one of my other dogs.

It’s weird to look back at these videos because he is a completely different dog now. I can’t even imagine him acting this way now.

If your pets ever get into something and you are not 100% sure that it can’t cause harm. Call this number immediately (888) 299-2973. There is a $100 fee but it’s completely worth it because they will be completely honest with you. No one is perfect and mistakes are made. Ace has NEVER even tried to eat something he’s not supposed to but like DeAnna Simpson always says “ you think they never will til they do” Nevaeh ordered supplements for her skin & gut health. one bottle helps with both. She took one and walked out of her room for just a couple mins and when she returned, she found Ace with the bottle going in. Fortunately she just got them a couple days ago so she knew exactly how many he ate. Close to 30. Everyone went into panic mode and they all wanted to rush him to the ER. I kept myself calm and contacted the only ER i trust, Advanced veterinary care center in Davie. The lady that answered the phone was extremely friendly. She checked with one of the Dr’s and then came back on the call and told me to call this number, pay the fee and they will tell you exactly what needs to be done. They have all sorts of specialist for different things. They worked very fast to get all the info and within seconds he had the bottle pulled up. He put me on a brief hold while he spoke to a toxicologist. Came back on the line extremely fast and told me we can just watch Ace at home. He said worst case scenario would be him throwing up and or getting diarrhea. They also gave me a claim number and told me if anything changes, call them back and there would be no more fees. It’s very important that all medications are kept in a place where there is no chance of an animal getting them. This was a HUGE wake-up call for all of us but especially Nevaeh. The lid was not on all the way and they were on her dresser. Like i said , Ace has never taken anything off her dresser, a kitchen counter or anything else. Not sure why he did it but there it is again “ NEVER assume your dog won’t do something. Another perfect example is Maverick. He is constantly out front off leash, weather it’s to get in the car or playing with me. He has watched so many dogs walk by and he has never done more than just look that way for a split second and go about his business. Then last week out of nowhere, i was taking him for a car ride , just like i’ve done a million times before but this time the second i opened my door and began heading towards my car, I see him darting full speed out of the corner of my eye straight for a man walking his dog on the other side of my street. No warning whatsoever. No barking or crying. Maverick is trained not to leave the road without permission so as soon as he reached the street. He dead stopped. So from that day forward he has not been out without a leash on him. Once we get to the park , the leash can be removed but i will NEVER take that chance again.

We will not stop fighting for justice and sweet baby Miso we will make sure you didn’t die in vain.

We fell in love with Miso the moment we met him.
Being a french bulldog/malinois mix, he was a handful. His owners loved him very much and they were very committed to his training. We worked with him in 2023 he was just a baby. He did not deserve to have his life taken im such a brutal & painful way. The officer that shot him was cleared of any wrong doing. However that is not the officer that should have been investigated. The body cam clearly shows Miso calm, leashed & under control. The officer who approached him should be held accountable because knowing he was on that call for a dog bite, he NEVER should have gotten that close and when he did and Miso reacted, the officer should have immediately backed up so Miso could calm down but instead he chose to KICK Miso in the head which caused his handler to lose her balance and drop the leash.
Miso charged and the other officer shot him. In the body cam you can hear the other officer tell the officer that was getting close to watch himself but he ignored him too. As if all of that wasnt bad enough they both did nothing to help Miso as he laid there gasping for air and bleeding out. One of the officers said " should we call someone because hes not dead" Other witnesses began saying " call someone to help him or at least euthanize him " All of that went ignored as well. This was not a quick death, this was a long and painful death. At the time of the shooting, Miso weighed 26 lbs. A tazer could have stopped him immediately. This took place in April but the officer was recently cleared of any wrong doing so now it’s all over the news and social media again. Therefore we only found out this morning and i found out by chance. A very good friend of mine called me this morning to tell me the story and after about 10 mins of conversation she said " He was so cute, poor Miso" My heart sank because thats not a common name and a mal/frenchie mix is not that common either. My daughter looked up the article and immediately started to cry. She looked at me and said " Mom, its him" Our hearts are broken and I will be taking this much further with lots of my dog loving friends. What if that officer goes on a call for a mentally ill person, will he keep a safe distance and attempt to de-escalate the situation or will he run right up on the person and when that mentally ill person goes crazy will that person lose their life too. Justice for Miso.

I can’t stress this enough. If you have your dog on a long line be extremely aware of where your feet are before you throw a ball or give your dog their release word because this is what happens when you are more focused on the dog vs where your feet are placed. Be ready to go into hopscotch mode when that long line gets close to your feet or ankles. Not only did this rip the skin right off my leg , it also took me off my feet within a half of second. Thank God when this happened it was with a german shepherd puppy and not a huge dog because it doesn’t take much for a dog to drag you right behind them. Even professionals make mistakes. lol Unfortunately this was an extremely painful lesson
