Student Rylee making good progress with her posting trot and learning to check and change her diagonals. She is looking forward to showing for her first time this coming show season. 🥰
Barrel student Maya making a run on the pattern during her lesson on Natasha. Maya is getting more comfortable with the speed. Soon these to two will be entering their first race together. They make a good team, so I'm sure they will do well. :)
Student Zoie placing 5th on the Poles on my mare Marley at the Craig Troyer Memorial Buckle/Saddle series at Davie Rodeo.
Student Tatjana getting in some practice over the jumps at the show grounds on Roxy. Roxy is green over fences, but I see lots of potential in this mare. Tatjana and her are going to do great things together. I am big on making my students trot into jumps. It's great for a green horse as well as a rider to learn how to confidently get over a jump at the trot. For both the horse and rider to learn how to keep the pace and to see a distance without having to race to it to get over it. It's important for a horse to learn what it's takes for them to get over a jump at the trot, so they can learn how to use their body correctly over the jump, to pick up their feet without rushing to it and jumping flat.
Student Zoie running a 14.696 on my mare Marley at the On Demand Pest Control Buckle Series at Davie Rodeo. Winning 1st place in the Open 2D and winning 2nd place in the Youth 1D. Congratulations, Zoie! Keep turning and burning!! It is always very rewarding to see my students excel and to be a part of their journey to help them achieve their goals. I am a firm trainer, but it's because I am passionate about what I do. I put my whole heart into teaching my students to help them become great riders and competitors. To bring out the best in themselves, to be confident at what their doing, and to have the ability to ride any horse they swing their leg over. It is not only awesome to see my students do well, but it's also great to be able to see my students do well on horses that I have trained and integrated into my program. Being in this line of work can have its ups and downs, but these moments are what it's all about! These are the ups that us trainers love, and it is what keeps us doing what we do! I am proud of you, Zoie, and all my students! You are all warriors! ❤️ Take that same energy with you throughout the rest of your life, and you will go far!
Lots of nice trails and beautiful Equestrian parks all in riding distance from Showclass Stables. Offering advanced trail rides for the avid rider.
Student Zoie making a nice run on Marley in the Open barrels at the On Demand Pest Control Buckle Series at Davie Rodeo. Zoie has been shaving seconds off her runs at her last 2 races. Great job Zoie!!
Student Zoie making a nice run on Marley in the Poles at the On Demand Pest Control Buckle Series at Davie Rodeo. Improving her time from her last run. Great job Zoie!!
Baby Lucius enjoying a nap. He's getting bigger by the day. 🥰
Student Zoie making a nice run on Marley during her lesson this evening. These 2 are really coming together as a team. Zoie is coming into her own as a barrel racer. She is bringing out her personality into her runs and having fun, and it shows. Going out there with a burst of confident energy can really bring out the best in your horse and your runs. Especially when dealing with a push style horse like Marley. You can't run in reserve, you can't hold back, you can't be afraid to push for that next stride!
Slow working the pattern and doing some new drills with barrel student Zoie. It's not always about going fast. Slow work and drills are important.
Barrel student Kylie's 2nd time trotting the barrel pattern on Liberty. Kylie's been doing well and looking forward to being able to start loping it soon.
3yr old stallion in training. Working on putting the miles under saddle on this beautiful boy to get him ready to start his training on the barrels. Stay tuned. I think he's got great potential.
Barrel student Camila making a run during her lesson on Natasha. Getting ready for some up and coming races. They were having some trouble with their first barrel on occasion. So we have been working on cleaning that up. But Natasha is definitely due for some maintenance from the wonderful Dr Davis. I can't believe she is going to be 17 this year! But she is still going strong a loves what she does.
Barrel student Zoie making a nice run on the pattern during her lesson. Zoie is getting more and more confident with the speed. She has gotten more comfortable with Marleys push style runs on the pattern and has really gotten better about riding her all the way into her turns and staying off her mouth and kicking more to her 2nd barrel which was something we have been working on so she doesn't get on top of it and hit it. We worked on cleaning up her 3rd barrel when closing her turn on the run home. I definitely think these 2 are ready for their next race. :)
My 2yr old Boomer and Liberty loving up on each other. He's so gentle with her. She's teaching him the ropes. If it were any other horse he would want to play rough. Lol. 🥰
Lesson with student Tatjana on her mare Roxy. Apparently FB won't allow me to upload multiple videos on my business page anymore. So I guess I get to flood my page with one video at a time. Lol. How annoying..
My office for the day. Giving student Tatjana a lesson on her mare Roxy at Plantation Acres Show grounds. It was a hot day but a beautiful one filled with lots of productive lessons.
Barrel student Kylie learning the poles on Marley. She was intimidated at first to ride my mare but she ended up liking her a lot and wants to ride her again. 🥰
Kylie has been doing great. She has come far. From first learning how to ride English to now starting to learn how to barrel race.
Lessons with Sarah, Sasha and Kylie. Making the switch from English to Western.
