Meet Ant! Ant is one of our veterinary assistants. In her spare time, she likes to bowl, eat Thai food, collect Nightmare Before Christmas memorabilia, sing karaoke, and go to classic car and art museums! Her prized possession is her little old lady pup, Mochi. Mochi is a pampered girl and even has her own stroller to ride around in!

Meet Emmy! Emmy is our inventory/facilities manager for both West & South Davis Veterinary Centers and have been with us since 2007! One of Emmy’s favorite days is Halloween and she’ll always take the opportunity to dress up! They also love to hike and explore other countries, such as Japan and New Zealand as pictured. A little fun fact: Emmy recently celebrated 20 years of marriage with their partner earlier this week. Happy Anniversary to Emmy!

Meet Kaye! Kaye has been with us since last year and is our receptionist. Kaye is from a small town in Louisiana and lived in 5 different states before settling in California. She even lived on a remote ranch in Colorado for 2 years with horses, chickens, sheep, dogs, cats, and a donkey. In her free time, Kaye loves hiking, camping, fishing, swimming and being outside as much as possible.

Meet Penny! She is a 12 year old Lab and is a big advocate for Librela! According to her family, since starting her monthly Librela injections, Penny’s mobility has improved and she can get onto the couch much easier than before!

Librela is a monthly injection to manage osteoarthritis. The injection helps to provide dogs with long-lasting pain relief. This can not only improve your dog’s mobility and activity levels but gives them a better quality of life as well! Week 2 of getting to know your local veterinary team! Nicole has worked in the veterinary field since 2007. She has been an RVT since 2015 and has worked at SDVC since 2020. She shares her life with her 6 pound Chiweenie, Sue, named after the Johnny Cash song, “A Boy Named Sue.” Nicole can’t live without a cat, so she plans to adopt one this summer.
In addition to her love for animals, Nicole also has a passion for dance, gymnastics, and travel. She trains and performs with a local contemporary dance company and loves to combine her love of gymnastics and travel by taking handstand pictures everywhere she travels!

Get to know your local veterinary team! Meet Kelly! Kelly is one of our registered veterinary technicians and our main surgery coordinator. If you’ve scheduled a procedure with us, you’ve more than likely met Kelly on the phone before! Kelly has been a technician for 11 years and for almost 7 of those years she has been with us at South Davis Vet. Her two pets are Sergeant Pepper, her cat, and Mr. Kite, her chihuahua. She rescued Mr. Kite as a senior pet 3 years ago and he is the first dog she has ever had. When Kelly is not at work, you’ll likely find her enjoying some music at a concert or a festival.

This is Tallulah with the good hair! It is very important to brush your pets fur to prevent matting. Miss Tallulah has a beautiful hairdo and obviously goes to her regular grooming appointments to keep her coat nice and healthy 🐩

This is Princess with her technician Kelly! Princess is 18 years old and she came in today for her monthly Solensia injection. Solensia is an injectable monoclonal antibody therapy to control feline osteoarthritis pain. Her family says she has been feeling a lot better and jumping on places she hasn’t in a long time! If you have an arthritic kitty with mobility issues, they may be a great candidate for Solensia!

We are aware of the recent media reports of a canine contagious respiratory outbreak. Respiratory outbreak reports are stressful to see and can be thin in actual detail.
