Patrice says belly rubs are the best therapy
Here’s a quick update video of Bella, the 14.5 yo pug mix who was tetraparetic (very weak in all 4 legs, unable to walk) when she came to see us. Bella makes us happy 😊
(Post edited) Some days being a vet is hard. Like kick you in the gut hard because you can’t help a patient who means the world to his/her person. Such was the case with Bella, a 14+ yo pug mix. She was tetraparetic, would scream throughout the day and night LOUDLY. Her poor mom couldn’t sleep and was frustrated/sad because nothing worked to stop the screaming. Her regular vet suggested euthanasia. Twice. I treated Bella twice and got small improvements. And my heart sunk each time I saw her. And then after her third treatment 🎊👏
Happy 14th Birthday Sashi!! The truth is that she has been a gift and inspiration to us. She came to see us last May with progressive hind end weakness and just weeks later became paralyzed due to an injury (bottom video). 5 months in, her road to recovery had another setback. With her and her Mum’s indomitable spirits she is now running into the clinic for treatment (top video). Sashi is a tremendous ambassador for physically challenged pets, older adoptee dogs and bully breeds.
Bitey face!
After hours shenanigans!…must be time to go home.
Look, a clinic chicken! Dr. Yamate found this friendly chicken yesterday while walking her dogs and has been bringing it to the clinic with her. We weren’t able to find its original home but luckily found a new loving (and chicken savvy) home for this sweetie. We will miss her.
Here are a few of our patients asking YOU to help fund research in the type of veterinary medicine that has made them success stories.
Izzy is an impressive cruncher!
Boston buzz
Boston buzzzz...this young fellah excitedly entered the clinic and then settled in for his first acupuncture treatment. He was very understanding when we woke him from his nap.
We hope you can come by this Sat for our open house!
Miss M - cat getting acupuncture
