Update on Horse!
A little wobbly, but Horse is making great strides to meet her foster’s cat, an OKP alum, named Mom. She’s doing much better now since her aspiration pneumonia diagnosis and slowly exploring the big world that is the living room!
Spellbound by the lure of the wand🪄
Tommie, Bonnie, and Cammie came to OKP when they were about 9-10 weeks old. They were initially very, very scared - even just a sneeze would cause these kittens to scamper away. After weeks of patience and TLC, these kittens have started coming out of their shell and acclimating to their foster’s touch. They’re currently available for adoption and would be best fit for a home that understands that they're just a bunch of scaredy cats!😂
A proper latch accompanied with some suckling ASMR! 🥰 With kitten season in full swing, OKP wants to say thank you to all our fosters who dedicate their time and energy into keeping these kitten healthy!! We can't do this without you!
This morning’s adoption event!
Here is a very exciting kitten case from earlier this year! Little Pikachu!
Pikachu has moderate to severe Cerebellar hypoplasia which affects his ability to balance and walk. He was an OKP bottle baby and we would sit him upright in a flowerpot after feedings to avoid regurgitation. He is a super determined and energetic little dude who has been able to adapt to his issues well but still needs some help with daily activities. He was 'foster failed' aka adopted by his foster - who is one of our OKP officers!💖 See more cute throwback pictures of baby Pikachu on our fundraiser page! It is thanks to all of our generous supporters that we can help special cases like Pikachu to thrive and find the perfect forever home 😸
Reminder that through the end of today, all donations for Giving Tuesday will be matched up to the first $1000! We are making great progress so far... lets get to that 1K mark!❤️
Thank you for all the support for Jupiter so far! Here is a little update of our sweet boy at the hospital! You can see he has an apetite and is in good spirits ❤️
We are still trying to fundraise for his hospital stay! Please share or donate if you can, anything helps!

Our sweet girl Chi is thriving in her foster home! Despite being paraplegic, she absolutely loves playing (and listening to music😅).
We have several special needs kiddos, like Chi, becoming available for adoption soon! Chi is unable to use her back legs and is incontinent, so she will need some extra help in the bathroom department!
She is such a sweetie and we cant wait for her to find a loving forever home!❤ Please email [email protected] for more info on this cute girl!
We have taken in a wobbly litter recently at OKP! These kiddos have Cerebellar Hypoplasia which is a fairly common condition in cats. This happens when the cerebellum of their brain, which controls balance and fine motor skills, doesn’t develop properly.
This leads to uncoordinated walking that can vary in severity from cat to cat. CH is not contagious or painful! These kitties can live long happy lives, and will adapt to their wobbly-ness as they get older. Some kitties with CH may require some modifications such as elevated dishes or pet stairs around the house.

UPDATE: Raisin is pending adoption! 🎉
Today we have our next cuties in our series of highlighting some of our grown up kittens still looking for homes! These sweet kiddos are looking for a cozy home this holiday season and would love to curl up with you while you Netflix and chill.
There are so many benefits to adopting an older kitty! You have a better idea of their adult personality, they can be more relaxed an snuggly, and you'll usually already know how they feel about other pets.
Today, we are highlighting Raisin!! Raisin is a sweet and playful 5 month old kitten. He loves to zoom around the house but still appreciates a cuddle session when he is feeling sleepy. Raisin gets along well with dogs and one of his favorite activities is to play fight with his doggy foster brother. Raisin adores human companionship and is excited to find his forever home! Raisin would also do well in a home with another FelV positive cat! Please visit Raisin's Petfinder profile for more info on caring for FeLV positive kitties!

Today we have another Maxy Monday! For our sweet little Miracle Max 💖. Max is such a special boy and is a loving cuddle bug to his foster mom and foster siblings. He is also an adventure kitty!! He loves to explore the great outdoors from the safety of a harness :) He has been in search of the perfect forever home for over a year, and can't wait to meet his future family!! Here is some more info about our favorite boy!!!
Max, aka Maximilian (which literally means the greatest) is an extremely sweet and affectionate boy with a spinal cord injury. We all worried he would never walk again, however nothing ever truly stops Miracle Max! He walks pretty well (a bit like a raccoon), can jump on low chairs, climb onto the bed, runs up and down stairs, and climbs a small cat tree. He truly enjoys story time, meaning he tells you a story while you hold him like a wee baby. Max loves to play but is also a great lap cat, and comes whenever you call him. He loves his kitty friends, tolerates the annoying dogs and would do best with another kitty to keep him playing and strong.
Max does still have some residual challenges from his spinal fracture. He is incontinent bowel and bladder so he wears regular diapers, which is unlikely to change. His diaper is changed 4-6 times a day and he does great with a few treats. His tail was amputated after his injury, and he has never missed it, so diaper changes are easier. Max is a total lovebug and an exceptional kitten! Not to mention, Max's adoption fee has been sponsored by our wonderful supporters!
