✨ FELINE FEATURE: Mavis ✨

Mavis is a playful, sweet, calm girl. She can be a little shy at first but with a toy and a quiet space, she quickly warms up. She enjoys playing with feather toys and bells and loves a high quality cat nap! Though she is not much of a lap cat, she is a purr machine and can frequently be found making biscuits and purring her heart out. She loves being pet and isn’t afraid to follow you around until you give in. She has a strong internal clock and will bump your leg when mealtime approaches. She is an absolute good girl who gets along well with other cats but can also do fine on her own.

✨ FELINE FEATURE: Pita ✨

Pita is a super friendly boy that was born around August 18, 2024. He has a very strong kitten engine that could probably allow him to purr his way into space! He loves playing with his sister and would do best in a home with another cat. While he's never lived with a dog, with a proper introduction, we think he would do well! He's very cuddly and prefers to be in your lap most times. He's a very social boy who enjoys meeting people and playing with his kitten siblings. He loves to wrestle and play with all types of kitten toys. This outgoing boy would love to meet you!

✨ FELINE FEATURE: Moira Rose ✨

‼️Adoptable ‼️

Moira Rose is one of our toughest and sweetest mama cats. She was brought into our hospital in rough shape with her 4 newborns. Sadly only 1 of her kittens, David, survived. Moira was sick and traumatized but cared for David and 2 singleton kittens we partnered with them. It took her a while to adjust to her new surroundings and she is still getting used to being in a household, but is getting more comfortable every day and we are seeing more and more of her sweet, curious personality.

Moira is a young mama - probably only a year old. She is reserved and mellow most of the time. It takes a while for new people to earn her confidence, but once you do, she is sweet and affectionate and will curl up in your lap for cuddles. She seems to get along well with other adult cats she has met. While she has had some interactions with dogs and children, we think she will be happiest in a calm, cat-centric household where she can relax and let her true personality shine. True to her Siamese looks, Moira can also be quite vocal, particularly when she is anxious. Potential adopters should be aware that there will be an adjustment period until she feels comfortable in her new home. This beautiful girl has more than earned a great forever home where she can finally relax.

✨ FELINE FEATURE: Sweet Pea ✨

As her name suggests, Sweet Pea is a gentle, sweet, playful girl who loves to hang out with her foster people. Although she can be shy at first, Sweet Pea loves to cuddle up to people and gets along well with other dogs, cats, and every human she meets. Playful but never rough, she would do well in a home with other pets or children (with proper introduction) and may also do well solo.

Sweet Pea is diagnosed with hypothyroidism meaning she requires life-long medication in pill form which she is a champ at taking (especially when wrapped in a pill pocket). With regular vet check-ups and consistent medication, she can go on to lead a long, healthy, and normal life!

✨ FELINE FEATURE : Dr. Sierpinski & Dr. Chompski ✨

These brothers are ready for adoption and would be best in a home together or with other cats!

Sierpinski (less white on nose):

Outgoing, vocal, and fun-loving, Dr. Sierpinski is one smart kitten. If you are looking for a cat that you can train to do tricks, he's your guy! This curious cat will come investigate any strange noises in your house. He loves meeting new people and is quick to cuddle up with them. A true goofball, he loves being held on his back and stretched out. He has a very high prey drive & will chase the wand toy forever! He loves his brother but at the very least he would do best with another young cat in the house to help expend his energy.

Chompski (purple collar/more white on nose):

Dr. Noam Chompski is a very simple kitten. He is much quieter than his brother but that doesn't make him any less friendly. Mellow and laid back, Chompski is often found sitting in a loaf and staring at cabinets or the ceiling when there are no people around (obviously he sees something us feeble minded people cannot comprehend). He is great with kids and loves guests. A baby at heart, he loves to nurse on specific fabrics. Though quiet, he is still a kitten and would do best in a household with another cat or kitten. He loves his brother but can be separated given he has enough attention at home.

✨FELINE FEATURE: Nelson✨

Nelson is a very handsome 7-month-old male neutered medium-hair tuxedo kitten who is ready for his forever home! 🐈

Nelson is a playful and social kitten who would thrive in a home with other pets who love to wrestle and play chase. He was raised in a household with adult cats, other kittens, and both small and large dogs; all of which he got along great with. He is looking to be adopted into a home with other cats who are willing to play, or to be adopted with another kitten to keep him company. Nelson is comfortable being handled and will adorably flop in your arms when you pick him up. He doesn’t mind his nails being trimmed; as long as he has Churu in his face, he is happy! 🥰

He’s a confident and curious kitten who loves to explore his surroundings. His favorite toys are ones that crinkle or roll, like a ball or a crumpled-up piece of paper, and of course any sized cardboard box. Nelson is an affectionate kitten who enjoys human interaction and will purr loudly when you pet him. As he has been growing, he has been becoming more and more cuddly and attention seeking!

Nelson’s favorite activities are playing with other kittens, napping on people’s desk as they do computer work, and stealing peoples’ seats when they get up. He is very food motivated and trainable. He has been working on several tricks, such as sit, come, spin, and sit pretty! He is also crate trained! 😻

✨ Community Cat Highlights ✨

Vinnie (AKA Vinnie Barbarino): Vinnie is a 4-5 month old large white and orange male with an amazingly fluffy and soft coat! He is a dominant male who is sassy but extremely sweet. He has really come out of his shell since being rescued. He loves to play, likes pets, and loves treats! Vinnie is neutered and is great with other cats if he can be dominant, good with kids, but does not have much experience with dogs 🐈

Mike (AKA Mike the Situation): Mike is 4-5 months and an all orange tabby. He is the biggest lover boy! He will love all over your legs, or if you are sitting on a couch, your back and arms. He sleeps by your head and purrs loudly. Mike is extremely playful and really loves attention and treats. He will be neutered November 21 and is great with other cats and kids, but has not had contact with dogs 🥰

Sammi (AKA the sister): Sammi is a 4-5 month old grey tabby with green eyes. She is a sweet girl who is shy at first, but loves pets, especially on the belly! When she is not around her rambunctious brothers, she comes out of her shell and is very loving. She is calm but likes to play and observe all of the action around her. Sammi will be spayed November 21, is great with other cats and kids, but has little experience with dogs 💖

DelVecchio (AKA DJ Paulie D): DelVecchio is a 4-5 month old orange and white male. He is a very sweet boy who will come up and snuggle up to you without you even knowing it. He gladly accepts scratches and pets and is the most loyal boy. He is often found with his brother Mike and would do well with Mike or with other kitties. He is very sweet and very observant and will make a loving companion. DelVeccio will be neutered November 19th, is great with other cats, but may need a slow introduction to kids and has not been around dogs 🐾

🐈 Orphan Kitten Club Highlight! 🥰

Garcia came into OKP as a three week old kitten. Despite having a good appetite and great energy, Garcia showed overall poor growth. Unfortunately, his health started to decline and he started losing energy and stopped eating to the point where we were so concerned, that we rushed him to the ER. On examination, he had a high fever and he had started limping on his right hind limb, where there was some swelling over his hock. The veterinarians working with him were concerned about an emerging bacterial sepsis, a severe, and life threatening systemic infection, and they worked hard to stabilize him on IV fluids, antibiotics, and assisted feeding. Fortunately, Garcia was able to be stabilized in hospital and discharged to us two days later!

Following treatment, he made a full recovery and we are happy to announce that Garcia was adopted by his foster, a vet student who had made such a deep connection to Garcia while he was sick and couldn't bear to part with him! He now wreaks havoc around her household with his older brother 🥹

We are extremely grateful to Orphan Kitten Club for helping us pursue treatment for Garcia and getting him back on track to being a normal, happy, playful kitten. We are also extremely grateful to our UC Davis VMTH Emergency department for their compassionate care and treatment of Garcia!

✨FELINE FEATURE: Zegna and Cifonelli✨

These adorable brothers are a bonded pair and looking to find a fur-ever home together ❤️

Zegna is a very curious and food motivated boy! You’ll often wake up and find him staring out the window in the mornings. Although it might take him a few days to warm up to you, once he does, he will follow you around everywhere! He will tag along while you are working, showering, making dinner, folding laundry - anywhere you go, he goes! Zegna also loves to play. You will often see him chasing his toys and hiding them from his brother. His favorite is chasing his feather toy and chasing after Temptations treats! Once play time is over, Zegna will curl up on the bed, his favorite chair, or on top of your favorite pair of shoes. If his brother is around, he will snuggle right next to him too! Zegna is never scared to ask for pets when he wants them! He uses his big boy voice and will make sure you know he is ready for some loving! 🥰

Cifonelli is the sweetest boy. A little shy at first, but once he gets comfortable in your home, your bed will be his favorite place, especially if you're there with him! He loves playing, but he loves napping even more. You can often find him on the couch, on top of a desk, in a hamper, in clean laundry, hiding in pillows, on a window sill - he truly naps everywhere. Much like his brother, Zegna, he is very curious! Cifonelli likes looking out the window, going through boxes, peaking in the fridge, and seeing what you are up to on the computer! Also, Cifonelli is the butt-scratch and belly-rub king! A few minutes of attention and he will purr in your lap all day long. And don't expect to be going to the bathroom alone, Cifonelli must chaperone. He will meow to let you know you’ve forgot to let him enter. Cifonelli loves to play with his brother Zegna and often their play fights end in the cutest fur pile group nap 🐾

✨FELINE FEATURE: Cloudy, Foggy, and Starbucks✨

This adorable family is looking for their fur-ever home, either all together or adopted separately! Cloudy and Foggy are Starbucks' adorable kittens and would love to be adopted together, but can find separate homes ❤️

Cloudy is a very sweet boy who likes to play with shoe laces and sit in the sink or any kind of box. 🌨 He is especially curious of bugs and he mostly enjoys sitting and watching you go about your day! Overall, he is a sweetheart and a wonderful companion to have in your life 🥰

Foggy is a very playful and friendly boy and loves all people! 🌫 He likes to run around and is really energetic. When he gets happy, he sometimes gives sweet love nibbles on your hand or licks your arms. In general, he is a very playful and friendly kitten! ❤

Starbucks (white and grey) is an absolute treasure to have around! She is a bit quiet, but when you pet her for a while, she has the sweetest purr. She likes to follow you around and see what you're up to 👀 She really likes sleeping in a sunny spot and would enjoy any home with loving owners and a sun spot! 🌞

Happy National Cat Day from OKP! 🐈🥰

We are so grateful to be able to provide care to so many community kitties and find loving homes for these amazing animals 🐾

Since February, OKP has taken in 274 cats! We currently have a little over 100 kittens in our care, all taken care of by our amazing fosters and vet student coordinators. From 2023-2024, we saved 394 cats from the streets and found loving homes for a huge percentage of them! We love our silly, loving, incredible furry friends and we are so lucky to be able to work with the Davis community to save so many lives ❤
