After 3.5 years practicing hoof care on the East Coast I am so happy to be back in Northern California. I learned a lot of new techniques and skills while working in many states and am happy to set up my permanent business serving my home community in Northern California. To all the clients I have left behind, I miss you! To all my new clients, thank you so much for the warm welcome as I build a new business here at home.
I am so glad I chose to do the apprenticeship. The International Integrative Hoof program is excellent and I learned a lot. I loved traveling through Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Virginia and Texas I have experienced horses in so many barns that taught me a ton!
I have had the pleasure of doing a lot of care for horses with issues from laminitis to needing to travel well to perform in sports.
Apprenticing with Daisy Bicking gave me the opportunity to learn skills and practices that are intgral to holistic hoof care. With her wide range of practice I got to work on horses daily and spend my time in deep conversations and practice with amazing horses and their owners. Choosing to do a long term apprenticeship allowed me to go out on my own and practice as well as sub in for fellow hoof care practitioners who needed time off for various reasons. Stepping into someone else's businesses to help them and their clients was a fantastic experience and gave me insight into how other excellent farriers trim, shoe and address serious issues with composite and other methods.
I am so excited to bring all of this back to California and offer the knowledge I have gained to help horses lead with their best hoof.
Thank you all so much, I look forward to wonderful relationships with our shared love of horses with health hooves,
Kimi Bunetta
