We had a great weekend at PetSmart! We had 8 adoptions! We also had our Bowling Event on Sunday(more on that in another post). PJ & Badger, Charm, Sunburst, Fang, Ciper, Danny Phantom, and Kenross, were all adopted! A mixture of kitties of all ages and we couldn't be more happier for this! Congratulations to our adopters and their kitties!

🩺🐾 Medical Monday- The Happy Tails! 🐾🩺

Cheerio and Lavender both visited our vet this last week with help from your donations! We’re happy to report that Cheerio’s eye is looking brand new with eye drops. Lavender’s eye discoloration has a small chance of being related to FIP with her family history, but it’s likely a small healing injury and her bloodwork looks good! For now she’ll continued to be monitored and is also receiving eye drops. 💜

Sage is continuing her FIP treatment and is able to walk farther each day without assistance! Her symptoms have improved so greatly with your help in accessing treatment that she began taking oral medication instead of daily injections. She’s so excited to get extra treats!…. Just don’t tell her there’s medicine hidden inside 🤫

🩺 Medical Monday- Help Betty Sue and Billie Jean! 🩺

We need your support for two adorable kittens. Betty Sue was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism following a vet visit that included bloodwork. Her sister Billie Jean has normal thyroid levels currently, but is abnormally small in body size for her age. These sweet girls require some extra calories and TLC! Betty Sue will also need frequent repeat bloodwork as her thyroids become regulated with medication. 🐾

Your help is crucial in ensuring they receive the best care possible! These are our adoptions from last weekend! We had a spectacular weekend at PetSmart with 16 adoptions! Princess Leia, Zeus, Maruku, Cheeto, Garfield, Luna, Sora & Frost, Han Solo, Falkirk, Meko, Jade, Marco, Dallas, Bubbles, and Avalanche, were all adopted! We are blessed to have such a great start to 2025! Congratulations to our adopters and their kitties! Thank you to our foster parents, volunteers, and PetSmart for making all of this possible.

🩺 MEDICAL MONDAY 🩺

This week LGFA has upcoming vet visits for kittens who need some extra love and care. And also an update on Sage as her medical journey continues!

First up is Cheerio. During our weekend adoption event, her eye gradually became swollen. We’re hoping this is stress related and nothing serious, but she’ll be visiting our vet as soon as possible to figure out what's going on and get started on eye medication.

Next is Lavender. We've noticed a new spot in her eye that is discolored, and with her sister Sage having FIP, we're staying extra vigilant about her health. We want to ensure she gets the best care to prevent any serious issues. Without her collar she’s identical in looks to her sister!

Lastly, we have an update on Sage from our previous Medical Monday post. We're happy to report that she's gaining more mobility with walking, and her eyes are gradually less foggy. She’s toddling around and can see where people are again! Your support has made a huge difference in her recovery.

LGFA is working hard to fund the medication and vet visit for these ladies, but we can't do it alone. Every like, share, and donation helps to ensure our cats get the care they deserve! 🐾
