In an effort to best serve our customers, in October 2020, Clucks and Bucks Outfitters, LLC was formed to operate the retail side of Gage's Poultry Plus. Both will still continue to provide the same great service, just as separate entities.

Gage's Poultry Plus will operate strictly as a gamebird hatchery and producer and a authorized tester for the Illinois Department of Agriculture - National Poultry Improvement Plan.

Clucks and Bucks Outfitters, is a licensed FFL Dealer, retail sporting goods store, outdoor shooting range, and firearm training academy. Offering IL Concealed Carry Classes and other firearm classes. The retail store has all your favorites, such as Traeger Grills, Black Rifle Coffee, Special S**t Seasonings, Ruffland Kennels and many more are still available, just under a new name. Many new companies have been added as well!
Clucks and Bucks Outfitters will be selling IDNR hunting and fishing license.

Our Story

Gage's Poultry Plus was started in 2012, in rural Dawson, Illinois, as a poultry farm and hatchery. In August of 2015, we added our first llamas and alpacas. We strive to breed the highest quality animals for our customers.

We have now move out of chickens and turkeys and have started back into Northern Bobwhite Quail and Chinese Rind-necked Pheasants. We strive to breed the best quality gamebirds for training, releasing, and your other needs. Our birds are very flighty, and are wild when released, they survive well when released. We try to raise the closest strain to the native species in Illinois. We are licensed by the IL Dept. of Ag as a Meat & Poultry Broker.

We carry a full line of seasoning and sauces to complement our farm fresh poultry. One of our goals is keep the public educated. As our business continues to grow, we will continue to strive for the best quality alpacas, llamas and poultry, while continuing to help the community.
