Ok.. Need some help:
A friend of mine hired an employee 3.5 years ago. She was tasked with a few tough assignments/tasks but completed NONE of them. During her annual reviews, when pressed on the tasks, she continued to state that those tasks need more time to complete. In the most recent performance review, she failed and even backstabbed her elderly supervisor. She was telling the public that he was the best manager possible, but behind closed doors, kept talking negative about his performance.
After it became evident that her boss could not cut it as a manager and was ready to retire, she is demanding a promotion in November but refuses to interview for the new position. During her plea for this promotion, she promises she will complete all the tasks that have been on her plate for the 3.5 years but wont start on them until she has this promotion.
What advice would you give my friend?
