Hi friends. 🩷 You may have noticed our Etsy shop is on vacation mode and we deleted our Halloween Spirit Board post. We are taking a break and scaling back our workload during the month of October. To be transparent, we are seriously considering closing our doors because for the last two years (oh yeah, we turned two in September!) we have prioritized our business and neglected our health. As disabled folks, this has been significantly impacting our quality of life. Hopefully after a break we are able to come back and keep Citrine Sunrise alive because we have truly put our blood, sweat, and so many tears into this passion project. Things may look different if/when we reopen. We’re still figuring out how we could make it work if possible. Thank you for being a part of our journey. 🩷 Please reach out if you have questions about an order or anything else!

We are still planning to attend our in person events we have committed to, so you’ll still have a chance to shop seasonally if you come see us there!

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. Mental health is a topic we are passionate about at Citrine Sunrise. No one should have to fight their battle alone. The importance of community, connection, and support cannot be denied. We need each other. For so many of us, our pets are not only our companions, but our confidants, emotional support in good times and bad, and the real reason we keep waking up. If you are looking for a reason to keep going, I hope you see the love in your animal’s eyes and remember they need you to stick around. 🦋

We’re Kyley (she/her, gemini) and Jess (they/them, virgo) - two disabled queers who love dogs and each other! We’ve been married for 5 years and currently have three dogs we’re obsessed with. When we aren’t working you can usually catch us watching a 2000s era thriller, listening to our fav pop girlie of the moment, or playing a cozy farming sim.

The end of 2023 is here and I wanted to take a minute (or 38 seconds) to celebrate our milestones this year! We have had an incredible first full year as a small business and I’m so thankful for all of you. In 2023 we got our first (of many!) best sellers on Etsy, we reached 500 sales in January and this December we surpassed 3k!!! We received our first wholesale order and are now stocked in two local Ohio stores, we launched a brand ambassador program (I need to work on it, but I’m one chronically ill gal trying her best 💛) and have continued to build relationships with our customers. We went to several successful and unsuccessful markets. We were ahead on some things, behind on some others, and always trying our best. It was a long year of learning as we grow and continuing to be thankful for the best customer/friends who remind us we’re doing pretty good!
