Guys, I hate to do this. This is the worst part of having a scheduled job many weeks in advance and working for yourself.. Unfortunately due to the snow that’s now turned to ice as the temperature drops.. I will be cancelling appointments for January 17th due to icy road conditions. Our side roads are ice sheets as well as my driveway. I am working on rescheduling everyone from the past few days. Please bear with me and I will get you back in as quick as possible. I’ve enjoyed the ❄️ snow but bring on springtime and sunshine ☀️

With the weather the way it is, I am going to cancel clients for January 16th. I don’t want anyone to risk getting hurt trying to make an appointment. I will do my best to reschedule everyone in a timely manner within the next few weeks. Enjoy the snow while it lasts ☃️❄️ it’s gorgeous!

Hey guys!
As of January, The Doggy Barn Salon will be updating some policies with the New Year here.
Matted dogs will be shaved accordingly and will inquire a $20-25 fee on top of original groom price. Matting takes much more time, is harder on our equipment and can often be dangerous for the groomer, mats pull skin and make it so much harder to carefully groom the dog. I will be glad to help anyone who has questions about dematting products, brushes, conditioners, etc.
I will be adjusting pricing on large, long haired coats over 100 pounds. Most of the breeds will include Newfoundland, Bernese Mountain Dog, Great Pyrenees, etc. Base pricing will be $125 an hour. These large breeds are often very hard to groom due to laying down while on the table, getting in and out of the tub, coat condition and they generally take hours to groom. Grooming dogs is very physically demanding and I have to do what’s best for my business. A lot of groomers don’t accept clients of this size/coat and I am trying my best to not get to that point so I do have to charge accordingly.
If you are 15 minutes late, you will have to reschedule your appointment with me, if I’ve not heard from you. As it may not sound like a big deal, that puts a groomers day so far behind. I try to get everyone in and out in a timely manner. I understand having an off day and if there is an issue with your appointment time, simply reach out to me and we will figure it out.

Hey guys! I just wanted to stop in and say Happy Monday! Hopefully everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving 🦃
I wanted to address a topic with y’all! As everyone may know, there is a respiratory virus going around in dogs. I have had some clients message and call concerning the virus. As a dog momma myself, I am suggesting for everyone to use their own judgment as far as grooming goes. I have not had/heard/seen any issues locally or most importantly at my salon. I do understand if you’d rather cancel an upcoming appointment (always just reach out to me and let me know.) If you do want to reschedule, considering the circumstances, rescheduling could be somewhat difficult as Christmas-New Years does approach so just keep that in mind! I definitely don’t want anyone frustrated at me if they were to cancel and then couldn’t get back onto schedule in a timely manner. I do stay about 3-4 weeks out on scheduling as most groomers. You guys do what’s best for your fur babies and hopefully this all blows over soon. As always, I APPRECIATE everyone’s business more than you know ❤️

To all my clients, I am sorry for my schedule changes this week. My best friend of a very long time is sick and we are doing whatever we can to take care of him. He has been part of my life for 19 years and I have to be there for him during this time.
I apologize for any last minute changes or any changes that could come. I am trying to give everyone as much notice as I can. I appreciate the understanding more than you all know. If you have time, say a prayer for him.
