We start feeding our puppies when their teeth emerge, which is around 3-4 weeks old. Dinner tonight consisted of pulverized puppy kibble soaked in water. Momma appreciates the help since their appetite is somewhat insatiable at this stage. They're growing, exploring and moving around move and more every day. Plus, who would want to nurse 10 puppies with razor sharp teeth! Ouch! Zoe will soon start weaning her little ones and then we'll take over for all their meals.

Even though we plan and plan, there's always last minute errands to run to get everything ready for the puppies' birth and my supplies for my family. I don't leave our momma's side for the first week or more, so food prep for my family is a must. I also try to have everything on hand so no one has to run out for things we might need extra of (like cleaning supplies). I also like to prep a fresh batch of "LIVER WATER" just in case any of the newborns need some extra help...and Zoe loves the extra nutrients from the liver once she starts lactating...win-win! (( Except for the smell of boiling liver🤢)
