We are super excite to see what these 2 will do for our herd in these upcoming years. I want to thank Oak Apple Farm & N GoatFarm for entrusting us with these guys!

Here are some more pretty pictures from NWODGA show. Top picture is Owlhaven DR Sashimi ring 2 5th place, ring 1 4th place age group 7+. Lower left is Sans Gene E Ginger Truffle was 10th in both rings in her class. YCN AC Momiji did not place.

Our herd participated in our first NWODGA show this last weekend. I’m very pleased with my girls for being completely out of there comfort zone of the farm. YCN KH Ahi did not place in Ring 2 due to being uncooperative but redeemed herself in ring 1 by taking 3rd place out of a huge class of 36 2-3 year olds. YCN KH Re*****on took home a first place ribbon in the senior kids class. Thank you Kiya Tunison for being such a good goat mommy to Remi 🙂

2023, another amazing NWODGA dairy goat show has officially wrapped up🥰🎉🎊
Every year the PRIDE in the quality & depth of the dairy herds & goats showing here just dazzles me! Honestly! There is nowhere except the ADGA National Show that you will see SO MANY past, present, & future Nationals Champions FROM NEARLY EVERY BREED in one spot!! It’s such an amazing place to be🤩 The quality here is just unmatched!
And my other favorite part is FAMILY❤️We have all grown into such a close family of showman. It doesn’t matter what breed you have, it doesn’t matter who you are, how much money you have, whether you own National Champions or are just getting started… We ALL showed our best & brightest selves this weekend, not just our goats, but ourselves! Everytime I turned around, someone was offering help, showing kindness, helping educate newcomers, help show goats with longtime breeders, jumping in to ring steward, offering to photograph, smiling & greeting others, sharing congratulations with fellow showman… NWODGA crew & show family shined her very best this weekend!! I can’t help but be a bit teary eyed & overwhelmed with pride knowing that our friend Chris Strickland would have been so proud❤️to see everyone shining their brightest!!
My sincerest thanks to every single exhibitor, to every NWODGA member & show helper, to our incredible judges, to every raffle ticket entry, for every sponsorship gifted, for every donation made, for every snack & side dish shared with friends, for your smiles & laughter! NWODGA *Is* YOU! and we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!

You might want to think twice before you accept Christmas trees from friends and relatives as free goat feed. We did this many years ago, and then one year we realized that the tree had been spray painted! The limbs were the same exact green as the needles! Then it clicked that Christmas trees were never meant to be food for any animal, and unless they are labeled as organic, they have been sprayed with all sorts of chemicals that are not approved for use in animal food — especially NOT animals that are producing food for humans.
