The holidays are upon us! 🎁 Keep your pets safe among all the festive fun with these quick tips for tree safety:
- Anchor Your Tree: Securing your tree prevents curious canines and cats from accidentally toppling it over during playtime. 🎄
- Watch the Water: If you have a live tree requiring water 💧 keep an eye on the reservoir. Bacteria can quickly grow and harmful chemicals can leach into the water, making your pet sick if they drink it. Consider covering the water basin with a tree skirt or towel if pets are persistent.

Leif (on the left) has been patiently waiting for his perfect people to come and take him home since late May. A friendly and outgoing guy, he hasn't met a dog he doesn't like here at the shelter. We've introduced him to several furry friends now, and each time, he runs right over, wiggly and ready to play! 😋
