Ever wonder what comes with our adoptions? This is our newest procedure. The bag of food is an additional $5. The rest comes with the adoption fee. Mice come with the same things except no pedigree. We are working on adding pedigrees to our mice.

We are going to start allowing a $5 add on bag of the current food that we have our rats on. This will allow for easy switching of foods.

Our Story

K’s Companions started the day that Kayla brought home a rat for a pet. Little did we know that by the time we got home, our one rat would turn into 18 rats when she gave birth in the car. And not even 4 weeks later, those 18 would be 30 rats. We soon started to do research and reach out to friends that also bred rats to make sure we were doing everything we could for these babies.

K’s Companions paired with a local rattery and that’s when we started to breed for genetics and temperament. Little did we know at the time that temperament was going to play a huge role in the coming years when one very aggressive rat would show us exactly what we were breeding away from. After many years of mentorship, we finally formed our own rattery and started to open sales to the public. We didn’t know how hard it would be, but with help and support of friends and family, we have stayed afloat.

Now we are thriving and still working with a few ratteries that friends run to bring you the best pets possible. Our lines have expanded beyond what we thought and we have some very unique lines that we are working with. Our original goal was to breed and offer a variety of small animal companions to the public and that’s why we didn’t use the words rattery and mousery in our name. Now five years after forming K’s Companions and seven years after bringing home our first rat. We hope to continue to grow and offer animals of all kinds.
