From Club Member Robin Scott

The Obedience Club of Daytona held their Annual Tracking Test on February 2, 2025, plotting the tracks on February 1st.

Pat Dean was the Test Secretary and did an absolutely fantastic job -- as always. Janet Berry is a dedicated member and volunteers every year to give up her weekend and lay tracks for the Club. This year - the Club was lucky enough to also have Andy Gibbons who is dogless right now -- but gave up his weekend also to lay a track. Ron Seeley and Robin Scott were the Judges -- and the benefit of having one of the Seeleys as a Judge -- the spouse is a tracklayer -- so it's like two for one.

I have to say - OCOD offers so many different events, obedience trials, agility trials, scent work, FastCat, Tracking and the list goes on. As with any club -- each member has a 'favorite' event and because there are so many events, it is impossible to have enough members to support each and every event....but the Club is supportive and continues to offer these trials/tests and for that I am very grateful.

The Tracking Test has three entries , an English Cocker, a Beagle and a FoxHound..... the weather was perfect, cloudy and cool. Unfortunately there were no passes today .... but each competitor will keep training and hopefully pass in the future.

Thank you to the Test Secretary, Pat Dean, the tracklayers Janet Berry, Andy Gibbons and Luci Seeley. Thank you to my co-Judge Ron Seeley.... it was a fun weekend.
