CLARENCE
We don’t generally allow cats to play with toys on the kitchen counter, but CLARENCE is about to go to the vet and he’s not gonna be happy, so we allowed him a little play time with a freshly made Tulacat toy.
Hey everyone! MITZI has some great news!
She just had her follow up appointment with Dr. Zhou at Guardian Veterinary Specialists. Her ears are healing beautifully after her procedure and she is now available for ADOPTION!
YAY MITZI! We’ll have her posted this weekend!
CLARENECE is becoming such a brave boy! Here he is joining the downstairs cats for breakfast this morning.
The screamer in the background is his sister PASQUALE, who is not yet brave enough to eat her meals in the kitchen. We must deliver them to her upstairs in her room.
SCUPPY
Grandpa SCUPPY is enjoying an extra breakfast in bed this morning since he didn’t finish his first one.
SCUPPY UPDATE
We heard SCUPPY meowing from the kitchen and hurried to check on him. It sounded like his hunting voice, but we don’t take any chances with him after last weeks injury.
Alas, it WAS his hunting cry! He went into the dining room and wrestled one of his favorite Tulacat toys out of the toy box and brought it back to his bed in the kitchen.
HE’S BAAAAAACK!
The Solensia has taken effect. He’s not jumping up on the couch anymore (we’ve put stairs out for him) but he is walking and hunting and living his best 20 year old (young) life.
SCUPPY UPDATE
Look who’s feeling like a whole new cat!
SCUPPY got himself a shavedown this evening and now he’s walking better too! (The Solensia must be kicking in.)
Tomorrow he goes to see Dr. Karmen for a chiropractic adjustment and then we’re hoping he’ll be 100%.
SCUPPY is enjoying his dinner in bed this evening as we nurse him back from his injury.
Nothing wrong with his appetite….
Dinner bells
With slightly less gusto than this morning CLARENCE & PASQUALE sing the song of their people as their dinner is served…
Innocent until proven guilty!
EUDORA & EUNIKE remain innocent until proven guilty!
How could such sweet girls be blamed for such an atrocity as getting into the garbage…
Time for Breakfast!
We love it when our cats become comfortable enough in their foster homes to start bossing us around.
CLARENCE & PASQUALE take their meal time very seriously, and will sit on the stairs calling down to their foster mom to hurry up with their food.
They are even more vocal and outgoing now that CLARENCE is feeling better. (He had a broken tooth pulled last week.)
These cats are really nice! They don’t like to be picked up yet, but they enjoy being petted and are very chatty.

They’re in New Milford, CT and have been waiting patiently for several months without any interest.
Good catch!
Grandpa SCUPPY (20 years old) is one of the best hunters we’ve ever met.
Here he is showing off this morning’s catch to SCOOTER, our Canine Foster Mommy.
SCOOTER is impressed with SCUPPY’s prowess and she should be, considering she jumped a mile high last night when a bug ran across her foot.
OPAL Update
Shayna just sent us this video of OPAL, who she just adopted yesterday.
Things are going well! Churus make everything better. ❤️❤️❤️
Lessons in Dog
This video is a perfect example of how SIX & SCOOTER are helping each other grow and develop proper social skills.
SIX (aka LULU, Willow’s Puppy 6) was under socialized to dogs a few weeks ago. Even though she had 7 littermates, she was the runt and much smaller so her play time was monitored. She was also a bottle baby, so she missed out on the valuable teachings of her mom WILLOW.
SCOOTER has a very strong, dominant personality. She loves puppies but comes at them like a wrecking ball.
In the beginning this scared SIX and caused her to act out in fear.
But now, SIX idolizes SCOOTER. She seeks her out and even initiates play. SCOOTER still accelerates from 0-60 way too fast, but she listens when she’s told to play gentle and she’s more tolerant of the puppy antics.
All of this has helped SIX go from spoiled bottle baby to well-rounded awesome puppy. She is such a good dog! She has no food or toy aggression and even lets the cats eat out of her bowl with her.
She would make an excellent family member.

WILLOW’s Puppy SIX (aka LULU) is getting some early morning schooling from Grandpa SCUPPY & SCOOTER GRACE.
SCUPPY has taught SIX not to play rough with him because he’s an old man, so instead SIX dances around and tries to engage him in play.
SCOOTER of course watches out for her pal SCUPPY and monitors to make sure he’s okay at all times.
SIX has come so far in the few weeks she’s been in her current foster home. She is doing amazing with all 9 cats in the house and SCOOTER. She loves kids. She loves people in general.
She enjoys going for adventures - walks, car rides - and she will make an excellent companion for some lucky person. She is both crate trained and trained to a large puppy pen which is in the bedroom.
