Valley View Riding Stables is a large horse barn sitting above rolling fields in the "quiet corner" of Connecticut. The owner and instructor Amy Lyons provides a friendly and family-oriented atmosphere with her lesson program. For riders of all ages and abilities, Amy has the proper skills and utilities, including having a NARHA license for handicapped, therapeutic riding lessons. Surrounded by mi
les of trails, Valley View Riding Stables provides experiences to suit all riders, including the kids that take part in her summer camp available every summer. Pony parties are also available on the property, as well as off if you wish to have the horses brought to your house, and Amy will gladly do pony rides for large events too! As well as all of the riding opportunities, Amy also runs a sale program and is sure all of her sale horses are trainer approved and kid safe, as she overlooks the training of each horse and uses them within her lesson program. Of course, Amy has help with all of this, provided through her working-student program that several kids that attend local schools take part in. After school each day these kids come to the barn, volunteer their time and learn how to clean, feed and care for horses and receive riding lessons in return. Amy takes many of the working students, as well as her lesson students, to local schooling shows throughout the summer, making sure that all of her riders can achieve the best experience possible. For any information regarding lesson prices, scheduling lessons/events, event pricing, etc. please feel free to call or email Amy, visit the barn's website or you can look under the 'Notes' section which you can access in the top right hand corner of the page.
