These are a lot of fun and we limit the size of the clinic so you can get plenty of time on the cows.

Here is an update on Promise, the nurse mare foal we rescued last spring. She went from a dehydrated, weak little thing to this big beauty! She LOVES attention and especially loves my children. She is 1 1/2 now and still growing

Are you in 4th-12th grade and want to show horses but don’t own a horse? No problem!! Our IEA Team is accepting new members!
The interscholastic Equestrian Association is set up to level the playing field for youth to show horses in a draw based format.

We are looking for someone to do morning chores at our barn 5 days a week.
Or weekends.

Duties include:

Feeding
Turnout
Stall cleaning
Watering(buckets and troughs)
Etc.

This is a heavy labor job that involves a lot of walking and heavy lifting. Must be able to carry hay bales and muck buckets.
Horse experience is required.

E-Wiley Horsemanship Team had an amazing show at the All American Quarter Horse Congress! These girls have worked so hard and pushed themselves and their hard work paid off. We are so proud of them and how far they have come!

We have such an AMAZING group of wonderful young ladies on our team! These ladies have pushed themselves and each other to be better and have made some amazing friendships. I am so blessed to be a part of their lives and so excited for our journey together on our IEA Team! We had an awsome first show at Autumn Rose, and came home with great results. Every rider preformed their best and I couldn’t be more proud of these ladies! Many thanks to our sponsors and community members that helped make this show season possible!

There is training in the waiting.

When you make a correction and your horse finally gets it right: wait

When you push your horse and they give you their all: wait

When you introduce something new and your horse does it for you: wait

During that time your horse gets a reward and can process all that information of what just happened. Take a deep breath and relax. Your horse needs to know that their job isn’t always hard.
Sometimes the biggest lessons are learned by moving slow and allowing the horse to understand.
Look for your horse to try, and be sure to reward that try, and you will have your horses heart every time.

Promise has now been here a week and is doing very well! She is a whole new horse after getting good nutrition and lots of love. She is full of life and keeps us all smiling 😊

Promise
To remind me that the promises of God aren’t always what we expect or plan, but he always keeps his promises.

In the midst of a crazy hard week full of sickness and struggle, Fancy lost her baby. We were devastated, but I couldn’t imagine how to tell my horse crazy daughter that she will never meet the baby she talks about daily.
That’s when we decided to find a nurse foal. When I first saw this dehydrated, lethargic, skinny baby my heart sank because I was afraid she wouldn’t make the 2 1/2 hour drive home without liquids. I didn’t think we could bear another heartbreak, but decided to take a chance. We made it home safely, and the second Fancy saw the foal she went crazy trying to get to the baby. She accepted it immediately and the baby nursed within minutes of being introduced. God’s hand was in it all, as it could not have gone smoother!
This little one needed us just as much as we needed it. God’s blessings are unexpected, and sometimes come through pain and struggle.
Thank you to the amazing friends who helped carry us through a rough few days!

E-Wiley Horsemanship is looking to hire a hardworking individual to be a part of our team.
Duties include:
Feeding/watering
Turn-out
Stall cleaning
Barn cleaning
And more depending on experience of individual.
Must be over 16 and have a driver’s license, must have horse experience, must be able to handle a lot of physically demanding work, must be able to take initiative and be observant to the care of horses.
20+ hours a week depending on individuals availability.

We had a great clinic yesterday with these wonderful students despite a few frozen fingers and toes. Everyone made huge improvements both with their horse and their own riding. Our focus was on showmanship, then we worked on smooth transitions under saddle. We are excited for more clinics this spring and to get everyone ready for a good show season!
