To help us continue to do so - we are selling beautiful poinsettias as a fundraiser.

They will be ready for pick up on December 7 from our clinic.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Nanny Pat. She was such a warm and wonderful presence, treating everyone here like family. Her visits with Meg and Thomas always filled our hearts with laughter and joy. She will be deeply missed by all of us here at De Queen Animal Hospital and Ashdown Veterinary Clinic.

🐾 Employee Pets of the Week: Tilt & Dexter 🐾

This week’s stars are Tilt and Dexter, the dynamic duo that keeps us all wondering—are they fighting like siblings or like an old married couple? 🤔 Either way, it’s clear that at the end of the day, they love each other! ❤️

Tilt was rescued from quite the situation. A good Samaritan found her in a brush pile that was about to be burned! They brought her in to be checked out, and Allie couldn’t resist her wild, lovable personality—so Tilt found her forever home. 🏡

Meanwhile, Dexter has a heartwarming story of his own. He was rescued when a very sweet lady had to go into a nursing home. She trusted Allie to find him the perfect forever home—so, what better home than Allie’s own?

Though they were rescued several years apart, these two are inseparable, entertaining everyone with their playful antics and unique friendship. 🐾

One can almost imagine him favoring a monogrammed collar and a taste for the finer biscuits 🍪 in life. 🎀🐾

Scout is a ✨very demure✨ and ✨very mindful✨ type of boy! He is picky as to who he shares his time with but if he brings you his pink squeaky ball then you know that you’ve made it to his “I like you” list. He is loyal and protective of his owner and will side eye you until he feels as if you’re not so bad to be around. 🤍

This week’s Pet Spotlight is none other than Tiny Tim and yes, that’s his actual name! 🤎

Timmy is small in stature but mighty in spirit.

He’s not always quite sure what to think when he comes to visit us because along with his medical appointments, our girls always get him to the back so we can frou-frou him up a little bit. Talk about king behavior! 👑🐶

Our special employee Pet of the Week is none other than Memo, the Gypsy traveler! 😎

Memo is a little boy who considers the whole neighborhood his playground, trotting along with the confidence of a tiny mayor and checking in on all the “constituents” (a.k.a. friendly neighbors). This adventurous pup knows every good spot for a sniff, every shady tree for a nap, and has his cousin's house memorized for a nice treat after a long day before heading home to Mom for more treats and kisses! 🐾🌳

Pet of the week: She’s a Barbie girl, living in a veterinary world! 👑🩺

Precious little Barbie came to us and was unfortunately diagnosed with parvovirus. She has spent the past week receiving IV fluids along with other supportive care, and through it all, she never stopped wagging her tail.

Aside from the medical aspects, one of the best things we offer is our love and care. Not all parvovirus cases are as lucky as Barbie, but we are happy that we were able to send her back to her family on the right track. 💖🫶🏼

For this week’s employee spotlight, we’ve chosen our special little Oakley!

Oakley has been through a lot with us in the past few months, and despite all the pokes and prods, she has maintained her faith. She’s not always thrilled about having to stay for the day, but after a few belly rubs from everyone and some baby talk about how she’s such a good girl, she doesn’t seem to mind it too much—especially when she gets to play Uno with us. 😁🤪

🐾 Pet of the Week: Meet Kitty Kitty, the Biscuit-Making Queen! 🐾

This sweet girl, Kitty Kitty, has been perfecting her biscuit-making skills (kneading her paws like a pro!), and let’s just say she’s got it down to an art! But don’t be fooled by her soft side—when it’s mealtime, she’s all business. Her food bowl doesn’t stand a chance! 🍽️

Kitty has been visiting us regularly over the last couple of months to ensure that her surgical bloodwork came back normal so she could have her spay procedure. She’s handled everything like a champ and continues to brighten our days with her adorable personality.

We’re so proud of you, Kitty Kitty! 🐱❤️

It’s only fair that we introduce our employees cherished pets in addition to our Pet of the week, so let me introduce you to Timmy! 🐐

Timmy is an Angora goat whose favorite thing to do is follow his owner around. That way, when she’s pulling down branches, he’s always the first one to get the tastiest leaves before any of the others. 🌿

Our employees go crazy over him, even though he couldn't care less! 😄

Get ready for a dose of cuteness with our Pet of the Week, the adorable Huckleberry!

This little troublemaker thought it would be fun to play with bees, but quickly learned his lesson. After some TLC and cuddles, he was back to his playful self, zipping around the office like a speed demon (until his ears got in the way, of course).

Huckleberry may or may not have tried to charm his way out of kennel time, but we couldn't resist those puppy eyes. Check out his before and after pics below and join us in hoping for smoother sailing next time we see this little guy! 🐾
