Cat vs Car Update:
What a difference a day can make! Charley got his cone off and his eyes look much brighter from just yesterday! Charley underwent four surgeries earlier this week to fix his pelvis, hip, leg and tail. And this sweet cat has purred through the entire thing. He is taking steps on his own! Now it’s just a waiting game to see if he will have any incontinence issues after the swelling goes down. This is often a complication of a tail pull injury. Prayers and positive thoughts are much appreciated!

Sadly We had a report of a cat on the side of the road that had been hit by a car near us today. It did not survive. We did go out and pick up the cat and check it for a chip and there was not one. Location: at the corner of Highway 169 and F 90 (south of De Soto) long-haired, black, young cat, was hit by a car. The cat is located at the rescue if anyone is looking for it.

She is at the West Des Moines Animal Control holding center now.

His name is Merlin and he has long gray hair. He is skiddish but friendly. Lost near 98th St and University.

REUNITED! GREAT NEWS!! Paisley. She is exceedingly friendly. She is not used to being outside and is very likely hiding. Description and photos attached. Please keep an eye out but more than that, especially if you're within a couple miles of 31st and Woodland, please check under your porch, your garage, your shed, behind your dumpster, under bushes or brush, or anywhere a kitty might fit or be hiding to stay warm. I have been and will be out every day looking, but I can't look everywhere and help is greatly appreciated. If you see her or have any helpful information please reach out. Many thanks.

Please adopt, chip, TNR.. the rescues are over run with cats and kittens. Please help!

REUNITED...LOST Waukee community we are in need of help! We live in the NW Stratford area our orange tabby got outside friday night. We can not find him anywhere. 😞

This beautiful girl wandered into our house a few days ago. She is not microchipped, but is extremely sweet, so I am sure someone is missing her. She is a pastel calico with no collar. She was found off of Park Ave and 35th. We know that someone loved her and must be missing her. She has been checked by the vet and is doing very well. REUNITED..FOUND CAT - Found at Des Moines Feed over by AE Diary. Young (under a year old) and friendly; she is someone's cat (very clean and healthy) and is used to being in a house. No microchip.
I will keep her until Monday and if no one claims, she will go to ARL.

Found cat this morning outside our townhouse in West Des Moines (88th & Ashworth area) Was crying loudly and followed me into the garage. Very friendly, extremely cold and extremely skinny. Gave food and water. Delivered to West Des Moines Animal Control. Slept in my arms all the way there…very very sweet cat. Would have kept longer but the crying was freaking out our cats.

Anyone missing a black cat with white paws and possibly some white on the belly? This is the 3rd or 4th time I've seen it in the past couple of weeks on 66th between School St and University in Windsor Heights.
