Autumn's Flock of Bird's

Autumn's Flock of Bird's This is my flock of Birbies and the babies they create.

Most of the birds I own are well taken care of well loved rescues of some sort as I also take in needy birds from time to time and care for them until a forever home is found.

Dove courting behavior. Gracie's dancing, and Brawny is all puffed up bowing and a cooing. Do you hear the laugh? 😂🕊️🕊️

I moved the finches upstairs. I'm hoping separating them from the bigger birds will make them feel more comfortable to sit on their eggs. 🤷🏼‍♀️ It's worth a shot.

Do you ever look at some people and just go, “Say What?!”

You may spot stunning cardinals somewhere on social media. There are many photos and videos about them. If you are lucky, you may even encounter these visitors right in your backyard. These birds are quite friendly with humans, so they sometimes pay a little visit to your garden. Scott Davis,...

The long-extinct dodo bird still has relatives left out there in the world, and the Nicobar pigeon might be the closest one. Even though it does not resemble a dodo, the Nicobar shares common genes with the ancient bird. The most obvious difference is its feather coloring, as the Nicobar has iridesc...

You'd think this is an obvious question, and to most bird lovers it is; but budgies and weiros (aka cockatiels) are some of the most rehomed birds, for the reasons mentioned.

The fact is - and there's no getting around it - happy, healthy birds are messy. They're loud. If they're quiet and not active (in times they normally should be), it's a sign of boredom or illness.

And yes, it's likely that at some point they may bite you - some harder and more often than others. It's usually because they're trying to tell you something or express themselves (like trying to handle them when they want space). Knowing and understanding your bird, and respecting them, is important.

And they may not become hand tame as people want but they express their affection and bonds in other ways.

People ask 'which bird is quieter?' Or 'which is easier to tame, the most cuddly, will talk most? Etc. Etc.' If this is something which REALLY matters to you, and that you won't be able to tolerate if the bird doesn't act how you imagined or how other people have said, please rethink bringing a bird into your home.

It is also not fair on the bird to only get one for the sake of easier taming. Firstly, taming is often easier with more than one, and secondly, birds provide more for each other than simply companionship.

Birds are incredible in their own right and every part of them deserves love and care ❤️

A better look at the babies. The 5 in the first pic are ready to go now, the ones in the 2nd pic will be ready in a couple weeks. Unfortunately the babies are wild. A lot of things have happened where I wasn't able to spend the time I wanted to with them. But they are beautiful healthy Babies already started on a good diet. DM me for a reservation. Once we move and become more stable I will be putting out hand tamed babies.
