I feel as though everyone is becoming aware of this new respiratory illness that’s affecting dogs. I spoke with our trusted Vet to see what we should be doing to stay on top of this best as possible. As always, speak with your vet first on this. We are implementing rules to try and reduce the risks for all of our guests; including my elderly dogs that live here full time.

1.) please keep your dog home and away from any high risk places such as the dog park, grooming facilities, other boarding places and Veterinary clinics for at least 10 days prior to visiting us, to make sure no symptoms are present.

2.) we will not be able to accept any dogs showing even the mildest of symptoms that include cough, nasal drainage, sneezing, fever, loss of appetite, lethargic or any other respiratory symptoms.

3.) advice from our veterinarian is that you seek vet care even at the mildest of symptoms to rule this new illness out. Early care and treatment is very important.

Thank you for considering us and all our guests. We are sorry for any inconveniences this can cause. Our main priority is always the safety of our guests. Say a prayer please this avoids our area all together. We are continuing our usual cleaning routines and reducing socializing between guests to guests best as possible. We know we need our guests and our guests need us so I think we add a few extra precautions and staying up to date on those vaccines, including Bordetella will be our best bet in this! Most importantly, see your vet at any symptoms. It seems early treatment is our easiest thing to do for this if it does come.

I am always so thankful for the doggies we get to watch. We’ve had a great day with our four legged friends and family. I’m thankful to have my family (Miles and Mike) with me helping care for our guests.

We are closed for ‘stay and play’ daycare on Friday, Nov. 24. Traffic hours for check in/outs for our boarding guests is 8-10 am or 4-6 pm. We will resume daycare back Monday! Have a Happy and safe Thanksgiving.

Cassie’s friend, Little Girl, now needs some prayers. She was hit accidentally by a vehicle at her home and now having surgery. We’ve all had a week. Her owner asked that she be remembered in thoughts and prayer for a full recovery. She’s a very sweet 12 year old girl! We are attached to these doggies and it never hurts to send a prayer up for them. She’s so loved by her family.

Miss Cassie got sick last week with no energy. If anyone knows her, she’s usually up and spunky! After a referral to UT they found the mass causing all this.

We are asking on behalf of Cassie’s mama and daddy that everyone please pray for her this morning. It’s a big morning for them all and they need the love and prayers sent their way. Pray for Annette and Ronald as well as the whole team working on Cassie.

She’s in for tests to be cleared for surgery this morning to remove a mass on her liver. The surgery has to be done as the mass is growing fast. Pray nothing has spread to her lymph nodes, that she is cleared for the surgery and they get this thing. She can live without this part of her liver where the mass is. We all want the best possible outcome for Cassie. She’s our special girl and if you visit here, you’ve probably met her. She’s a special girl to us all. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers this morning.

Neighbors from No Pone road found this sweet girl and are hoping to find her owners. Found on South No Pone Road.

She does have a collar, a worn TN vol and a reflective flea and tick collar. We took her to see if she has a chip but they were closed and will go check again today.
