desensitize your animals to noise and socialize with people
Many emus are spooked easily or have issues with loud noises. We not only have a shooting range in one of our pastures that we at times hold events in, but often use loud equipment around them. From very early on, we give them treats as they come around to where the loud noises are. To this day, when they see people or hear loud noises, they congregate to where it is or to the gate to receive treats. A great way to desensitize your animals and help them not get too spooked at the very minimum. 🤔
We moved some (not so noisy) equipment today but the result is still the same.

I just want to turn the clock back for a while -
Miss those goats!!- Especially Itti ❣️❤️🩹-
I must say however that they have found loving new homes and I know they are in good hands
I love the goats I have now, but nothing will ever replace Itty's presents.
Baby Ducks -Baby goose - They stick together
Finalized the poultry run (turned chicken tractor) from Vevor. Used an IBC bladder as a shelter cut the bottom off so they have maximum grass and soil - also so there is no cleaning out of poop from the shelter.
Things are just buzzing around here
While I took a whole week off, Itty showed no signs of showing us her babies.
The day I go back, she drops 3 baby goats. 2 bucks and one doe. The doe has a little color, the two bucks are all white - just as their father, Frosty.
I also had some beginners luck putting out my bait box. A few bees were swarming and buzzing around me while inspecting the bee hives.
Made it into a chicken tractor
Looking forward to retirement- Right here!
Just found some footage of the peacock on her nest - this was back in mid July
I spend time every day with my animals - no matter what the weather. If it's nice out, that's just a bonus for us. Some days I have my phone with me and decide to get some footage of them all growing up, other days, I don't have a phone, but rest assured, every minute is a wonderful experience😁
Barrels from work come in handy
The Zoomies - camera can't keep up
