The items below are ALWAYS needed at the Shelter, and may be dropped off at the front desk during our normal operating hours. Thank

◾Liquid laundry detergent is needed for the MANY loads of laundry we do every day.
◾Dawn Dish Soap for Dishwasher. Dawn is preferred since it's also safe for young puppies and kitten in need of a bath!
◾Regular Bleach (i.e. Clorox Clean-Up is not safe for animals). We use bleach to clean all parts of the shelter.

◾Paper Towels. We use these to clean all over the shelter all day long.
◾Trash Bags. 55 Gallon, 1.5 Mil (this thickness is durable enough for medium/heavy weight trash). We go through 100 bags each week.
◾Gift Cards to: Amazon, Office Depot, Lowe’s, Target, Sam’s Club, Publix, Walgreen’s, etc. Newspaper
We shred newspaper to put in kennels. We use A LOT of newspapers and appreciate your donating newspapers to us. Copy paper

Please note that due to sanitary and safety policies, we cannot accept the following items: choke collars, plastic bowls, retractable leashes, rawhide treats or toys, opened bags of pet food, sheets or pillow cases, electric blankets, dog tie-outs or tie-out stakes for yards.

Andromeda, 4, has clearly done some modeling in the past. And, we might have paid her with copious amounts of cheese for these poses. Her little Mona Lisa smile was worth all the string cheese we had on us. LOOK at this sweet girl!

This 13-pound, long legged chiweenie queen is great with people, a friend to other dogs, and easygoing and comfortable with news people and kiddos. She loves to go for walks and is very adventurous, if you’re looking for a tiny wingwoman to accompany you on your walkabouts.

Andromeda is beloved at PAWS Atlanta. Seriously. She is the most joyful, loving dog. And, somehow (maybe the universe is sending you a sign), she is still available for adoption. Wonderloaf, aka the cutest man who ever lived, is absolutely thriving in his forever home! His mom met him at a community event at Agnes Scott College last fall and immediately knew she couldn't live without him. She applied on the spot, and a few days later she brought him home.

Wonderloaf has fully moved on from shelter life, sporting snazzy bandanas and celebrating Mardi Gras in style! There's nothing we love more than seeing our PAWS alum thriving in their new homes 🥰

The note on the whiteboard says Sweeps likes people but tends to stick to herself. ❤️‍🩹 She is a 2 year old silky soft black panther who came to PAWS because someone in her home was experiencing severe cat allergies. Sweeps is very Zen-like and magically calming. If you would like to come meet her, and we highly suggest coming to meet her, click on the link in our profile or visit PAWSAtlanta.org and fill out a cat adoption application. That will get you pre-approved to adopt, and it’s good for two years.

Margarita here to wish you a happy ! 🍹 She's the queen of sass and snuggles - a playful, happy little lady with a big personality.

Margarita is all about catnip toys, delicious snacks, and endless head scratches—seriously, she’s a total sucker for them! She loves to curl up on fuzzy blankets and bask in sunbeams like the royalty she is. While she enjoys affection on her own terms, once she trusts you, she’ll grace you with cuddles—sometimes right up against you, sometimes perched on your legs.

Margarita is a master of hide-and-seek and took some time to warm up, but now she’s a friendly, social girl who rarely hides anymore. She can be a little dramatic when she’s had enough attention, but as long as you respect her boundaries, you'll have no problems. With perfect litter box manners and a love for wet food, Margarita is the perfect mix of independent and affectionate.

A small but mighty volunteer crew from Comcast lent a hand at PAWS Atlanta last week! They helped us unload and move the 21,000+ (!!) of cans of wet food that were donated, saving our team hours that we were able to spend with our animals.

If you'd like to volunteer with us, don't take our word for it - here's what Comcast had to say: "We all loved your facility and the amazing work y’all do. There needs to be more of you out there! We will be back, and we will be involved in more events in the future."

Grumpalina may be new, but she immediately started making biscuits for everyone in the cat cottage. She is pure love, friends.

Lyla is now a mother of three! She came to us pregnant and, thanks to a PAWS foster, she is now bonding in a comfortable home with her babies.

SOUND UP: We have become incapable of taking photos without making annoying noises. This is Taco! He appears (to our untrained eye) to be a dachshund-cattle dog/heeler mix? A heeldoxie? A doxheeler? Whatever he is, he’s adorable, and he’s nice, and he’s so, so sweet. And you NEED some Taco in your life. Thank you to the people who helped get Taco to safety and to PAWS Atlanta. He’s now available for adoption, and would likely be a great family dog or friend to another dog in the home. Right now, he doesn’t have any applications in for him. So, move quickly and be first!
