The GSP party is strong here this week. We currently have 6 in with multiple trainers. We get asked all the time if we have experience with the pointing breed. To this date we have trained over 317 pointers in the last 5 years. We understand the breed and we cherish the significant personality that they bring to the table. Goose, the gsp just graduated from our program on Sunday. This guy is already out with his family Retrieving birds like a boss. As a trainer I feel honesty is a huge factor in the success of any dog. While goose is a amazing dog he is by far one of the most difficult dogs I have ever trained. There were some weeks where I was questioning my ability to train dogs. He would have good days and bad days back and forth. Every report I've received since he's been home has been about how amazing he is and how much easier he is to work with.

It's amazing to see the head butting and difficult days pay off. Every dog communicates a bit differently but never give up. Each dog will operate at a performance level they are comfortable with. Even if it's different then what you are used to always stay focused on the positive behavior the dog is showing. Great Job Goosey boy!

As a trainer, hearing from your clients should never get old or frustrating. We had multiple young dogs go on their first live hunts with their owners, and hearing from all of them was amazing. Seeing the hard work pay off and the dogs having fun is a feeling that is hard to beat.

These pups all came in earlier this year for training and they are all out running it hard with their loved ones
