Sniffing for treats takes time and keeps your dog engaged, helping them stay in place longer without getting bored. You can gradually increase the time as they get used to it.
The snuffle mat also makes "place" a fun and rewarding experience for your dog.
Instead of seeing it as a restriction, they’ll start to associate "place" with something positive, helping them relax and enjoy staying there.
