My goal in training horses is to give a young horse the best chance at a good life and a career. I believe that having a strong, positive start in training from day one can play a major role in the way a horse responds to training later on. My training program is a combination of methods,which have been inspired by trainers such as Buck Brennaman, Tom Dorrance and many others that use a natural ho

rsemanship approach. It is based on understanding the way a horse's mind works and how best to communicate with each horse as an individual, to effectively engage both mind and body. This makes training much more effective for me and the horse. I have loved horses since I was a child and have been fortunate enough to spend the last 20 plus years being involved with all aspects of horses, in many disciplines. My experience ranges from reining, cutting and roping to polo, jumpers, dressage and anything in between. I have found that, no matter what discipline the horse is destined for, the process for starting them is essentially the same. The horses that prosper, have the most longevity in their sport and the most willing to work have had the best possible start early on in life. Good discipline and solid handling are needed to prepare your horse for any type of riding. I specialize in:
-starting under saddle (roping prospects, polo prospects, etc.)
-retraining problem horses
-groundwork (leading, trailer loading, standing while mounting etc.)
-correcting bad behavior (barn sour, biting, kicking, bucking, etc)

Simba got to go to North Texas High School practice last night. First time there with all the baseball games going on and all the action in the arena and you would think she's been there a hundred times. Such a calm little horse.

Simba is an 8 yr old registered TB mare. Playday prospect for sale. Lots of buttons, great handle and nice comfortable stride. Easy going when you want but has the gas if you need it. Sound and solid with great feet ready for a job. This mare gets along with anyone in the pasture and loves attention but is respectful on the ground. She's a real sweetheart with a great disposition. She will pass any vet check and is in full work right now if you want to try her. I have barrels as well. , located in Sunset Tx. Update on Simba,, went to the grasslands for a few days to camp and ride. She did great on the trails as well as having a fairly green rider take her out and she camped well 2 night with the other horses. This one is definitely an all around solid mare,

Getting some more green horse polo in again this week. Pierce Younger and I needed another player so my son Wyatt jumped in to help get the greenies a little more exposure to traffic. It's getting toasty outside but I've got a couple real troopers helping out

So proud of my assistant Pierce Younger! Joaquin Callejas, a 2 goal player recently moved here from Chile has been giving lessons to Pierce, hes gone from a stock saddle to a polo saddle and hitting the ball much better. Come out and join us! Lessons available pm us for more info
