Artic cold is coming-please take care to make sure your pets are safely inside and warm.

The next seven days will bring overnight/early morning temperatures in the lower 20s to lower 30s (with the exception of Sunday night into Monday morning). Be sure to:
🐶 ensure pets have a warm, dry shelter
💧 allow pipes and faucets to drip if necessary
🪴 bring cold-sensitive plants indoors or cover them
🫂 check on loved ones and neighbors, especially the elderly

Fireworks are one of the top reasons for missing and injured pets. Wildlife is just as scared of the loud noises. Please take precautions with your pets!

Tomorrow night, and likely through the weekend, fireworks will be sounding all around us. If you find injured or orphaned wildlife, please use the free app Animal Help Now or www.animalhelpnow.org to find a licensed rehabber near you based on species. If you have pets, please make sure they are INDOORS and when you have to take them out, be sure to take them out on a leash, (even if you have a fenced in yard). Dogs can climb fences and you may not have time to react when it happens. Be sure pets are wearing collars and tags in case they were to break loose.
