Here it is! VERY cold weather coming in on Monday and lasting several days. Did we mention VERY cold. As in not above freezing AT ALL cold.

Lets spend the next few days/weekend getting ready!

It's going to be colder than a brass toilet on the shady side of an iceberg.

Sorry about Olaf and Frosty and such, but outside of rain later this week, we are good!

Some super COLD temps could be in our future though, so think about preparing while it's nice outside!

[3 pm] Any last snowman left standing will most certainly melt over the coming days as temperatures rise into the 50s by Friday. Unfortunately that brings back medium (40-60%) chances of rain Friday afternoon.

So here is the latest - we are now under a winter storm warning. PREPARE TODAY! They have lowered the snow accumulation, but added ICE and we aren't talking to good Sonic ice we all love.

Start time will be overnight/early morning Friday.

If you HAVE to be out - dress warm. Put supplies in your car, fill it up and have the number of a towing/wrecker company identified.

Practice your penguin walk so you don't fall and become a call!

NWS is predicting anywhere from 4" - 6"

First option: STAY HOME
Second option: If you must get out (we totally get this-emergency workers and all) - PREP YOUR CAR!

Also - have the phone number of a wrecker company ready. If you slide off the roadway and are not injured - You will be instructed to call one.

Oh look - it's us already this morning!

PLEASE check on your neighbors/family/friends who may not have adequate heat!

Monitor any space heaters - keep flammable objects away from them!

If you cannot bring pets inside, make sure they have shelter, bedding/blankets and fresh water.

[6:25 AM] Cold/dry conditions will persist thru Thursday, with highs in the 30s and wind chills in the teens at night. Confidence is increasing that a winter storm will bring impactful accumulations of snow (and sleet/freezing rain) to the region beginning Thursday night.
