Rest in peace to our sweet friend, Silver!

Dear Pawprint Ministries friends and family, with sad hearts we share with you our dear sweet Silver passed away today. She was diagnosed with mouth cancer two weeks ago and took a severe turn for the worse last night and this morning. Sterling, Harry and I, along with her first family Dr Todd and Gina Lykins, were with her to the end. She was the sweetest and brought smiles to everyone in any room. We will love you and remember always the joy you brought to so many.

Sophie’s Pawprints

Sophie is a comfort dog with PawPrint Ministries based out of Decatur, IL. With her handler Emily Steele in tow, she visits nursing homes, cancer treatment centers, schools and anywhere else the PawPrint pups are needed. She is also available for counseling sessions at Growing Strong Sexual Assault Center.

Sophie is a flatcoated retriever (look them up, they’re so cool!) mix who was adopted from Homeward Bound Pet Shelter in December 2014. She likes long walks on the beach and cuddles on the couch and food, did we mention food?
