December is National Cat Month, and here at Brush College, we have a special place in our hearts for our feline friends! As cat lovers, we want to make sure you’re aware of an important treatment option for cats with osteoarthritis: Solensia.

Have you noticed your cat pausing before jumping or moving slowly down the stairs? These could be signs that your cat is experiencing joint pain. If you’ve visited our office, you’ve likely met Pebbles, our sweet and sassy office manager. She’s a little cat with a big personality—but she also struggles with joint pain. Thankfully, Solensia helps her stay active and comfortable.

October is ❤️
We want to pay a special tribute to our babies (Jersey, Envy, King, Koda and Tank) and to all that we care for. As one of our favorite breeds, here are some facts you may not have known:
🐾 Did you know that Pit Bulls are not actually a breed of dog? The term refers to a variety of breeds, like the American Staffordshire Terrier, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, the American Pit Bull Terrier and other such mixes of dogs. Many dogs that are classified as “pit bulls” are actually a combination of mixed breed dogs which bear some physical resemblance.
🐾 Pit Bulls do not have a lockjaw. Pit Bulls actually don’t have the most powerful bite when compared to other larger dogs and can be out chomped by Kangals, Rottweilers and English Mastiffs.
🐾 Pit Bulls are naturally warm and kind-hearted. Ever heard the phrase “nature vs. nurture”? Well, that applies here too. Pit Bull-type dogs, just like any other type, follow “learned” behavior taught by the humans who raise them. An attentive caring owner will raise a happy well-adjusted pet.
🐾Despite their fearsome reputation, Pit Bulls aren’t considered great guard dogs by those in the know. They’re too trusting of humans and always looking to make a new friend.
