Ok guys! I have a million reasons for being MIA the past few weeks but I won't share them all! I was really sick for a couple weeks after these guys were born. Then I was getting ready for a big dog show that we went to in Oklahoma and I have just been trying to catch up ever since! And here we are Jewels litter is almost 8 weeks old! I lost the little black bi female the day after they were born which kinda threw me into a funk. Momma chewed her umbilical cord to short and despite mine and vet intervention it was just to much for her little body. And although I had not planned on keeping any from this litter I probably would have kept her as she was a spitting image of her great grandma Memphis!
Anyhoo....everyone else is doing great and they are drop dead gorgeous! I decided to call this the" Gem Stone" litter since their mom is my precious "Jewel"! These are standards!

And that's a wrap!!!6 pups in 2 hrs and 15min! Jewels a rockstar!!! 3 red merle girls! 1 red merle boy! 1 red tri girl! 1 black bi girl! Individual pics tomorrow when everyone is dry and settled!God knew what I need today cause now I gotta go drive 3 routes this afternoon! I was totally stressing but we gotter done!! I am a little schocked at so many reds but they are gorgeous!Not quite sure where she had all those puppy's hid! They must have all been up in her rib cage! She barley had a tummy!

In other great news... Randy took Miss Jewel to the vet for me today for puppy count xrays! I was worried she only had a couple big ones cause she is hardly showing! But the official count is 6! Only a few more days until this much anticipated litter arrives! I can't wait to see what we get!

So my hope is always that my pups go
to a forever home. But some times life just happens and drastically changes.Such is the case with Blue. He was a Grace and Bodie pup from 2022.He is a standard,22" and 50lbs. He gets along with other dogs and cats. Is house trained. Currently a farm dog. Goes to work with his dad at the coal mines 3 days a week so he knows how to ride. Will be current on vaccinations. He is still intact and would possibly be allowed to go with breeding rights to the right person.Other wise he will go on a strict neuter contract! He is very nice conformationally. Double blue eyed. Super sweet and loving. If they do not find him a home in the next two weeks he will be coming back here which I really do not have room for but will have to figure it out. He is currently located in Divide, Co.This is a great opportunity if you want an aussie but want to skip all the hassel of the baby stage! Please send me private inquiries only for more.! UpDate!!!!! FANTASTIC NEWS!!!! Since he has already been trained as a recuse dog in the coal mines and as a emotional support dog they are allowing him to go with them and continue on in BRAZIL!!! Does a male or a female make a better pet for you and your family?

It’s not uncommon for people to believe that a female dog will make a better pet. We get a lot of calls for people wanting that “special little girl”. For whatever reason they don’t think that females will exhibit “alpha” behaviors like hu***ng and/or marking. A lot of people think that females are more passive and friendly and that they don’t take part in fighting over dominance, which could NOT be farther from the truth. If you check out the structure of dog packs, the females determine the pecking order and rule the roost. The result of that behavior is that the females become more stubborn, independent, and territorial than the males. These females are much more intent on exercising their control by participating in that “alpha” behavior like hu***ng. Most fighting will usually break out between two females.

Males tend to be more affectionate, exuberant, attentive, and even more demanding of attention. The males are very attached to their owners, tending to be more dedicated, reliable and less temperamental. They are more sociable, more accepting of other pets, playful for years, and take quicker to children. Most boys are easily motivated by treats/food, words of praise and are so eager to please that training actually becomes easier. Their playful nature, however, can make males more easily distracted. The boys are more likely to act silly and more puppy-like, always wanting to play games, no matter what their age. The boys are fun-loving until the day they die, whereas girls tend to be more standoffish and dignified the older they get.

Neutered males rarely exhibit secondary sexual behavior such as marking and lifting their legs or hu***ng. Once the testosterone levels recede after neutering, most of these behaviors will disappear if they ever existed.

So before making your decision on that age old dilemma of male verses female, hopefully this will give you some helpful info to think about.

It always takes us a bit for names around here cause we can never agree on the same one! But momma pulled rank this time and chose this one! I am still struggling with his ears a bit but some good breeder friends of mine reminded me not to throw the baby out with the bathwater!And hopefully as he grows they will get some more lift. I need to get a video of him & some stacked pictures cause he really is nice other wise. And as my friends also reminded me my girls have nice ear sets so it will be fine! Really excited to see what the future holds with this home grown boy!

Happy to report that all of Huck and Marquees kids have found their new homes. Mr. Quigley went home yesterday. Mr.Quade (now Chance) went home to South Dakota on Friday. The two little girls went home a couple weekends ago and have settled in nicely with their new families! Thank you Jenny one of our Gypsy Creek family for helping to find Quigley the perfect place to land!

Ms. Jewel scared the living daylights outta me yesterday when she disappeared for 2-3 hours all by herself! Thankfully she came back home just in time to go for a lil vet visit! And I am happy to announce that she is confirmed pregnant!
I have planned and prayed for this litter for quite awhile now! We put off breeding her last year so that we could work on her showing. But the suspense has been killing me! I think her and Chrome are gonna make some gorgeous & unique kids! These will be standards.
ASDR registered.
Jewel is 18" clear on the genetic panel. And has her grand elite title.
Chrome is 21" MDR1 carrier only.Red factored. And has a level 1 title and will continue showing this year.
I already have two ppl on the wait list. Please let me know if you want a spot also! Coming 1st week in May!

So this young man is still 👀 for a 👪 .
But I want to take a moment with this to adress a few things!!!
1st...I get this almost every go round! "I don't need papers". Ok... that does not affect his $$! Wether you choose to get registration papers or not the amount of $$ I have into this is still the same! Dog food cost the same! Vaccines cost the same! Wormer cost the same. Vet checks cost the same! My time and effort are the same! Toys and beds and all the things cost the same! The $$ of health testing and care for parents cost the same!
2nd....older 🐶 are not worth less!!! In fact the longer they are here the more $$ I have into them because I continue to follow up with vaccines and care just like the rest of my dogs and all of the things listed above!
3rd... I absolutely do not mind sending pics, telling price answering questions about the breed and what their needs and requirements are! But if I am considerate enough to give of my time to give out info please be considerate enough to be respectful of the time I give you and invest in my dogs!
Last weekend I spent quite a bit of time talking with some people...answering questions...working with their schedule to find a time to come look! I gave up my families evening/chore time/ supper time to let them come out at 7 in the evening! They assured me they were so serious about this! Now I had bathed and blow dried him for their visit so he was a little freaked out over it! But was back to himself the very next morning! They told me they wanted a couple days to think it over and the would let me know! That was 9 or 10 days ago and not a single word from them! Nada!!!! And if you changed your mind or have doubts thats fine but just say so! Don't just leave me hanging. Give me the same courtesy I gave you! Please! I work so hard to raise nice dogs and have invested years( 34 to be exact) for the love of this breed to share with you guys!
Once again I don't mind inquiries at all...infact I want to anwser every question you have and be sure this is the right match for you! But please don't waste my time and just ghost me!
Sorry for the rant but it just gets tiring and frustrating some times!
Anyways don't be afraid to reach out but if I anwser you please do the same for me!
Some one is really missing out on this sweet, handsome, cuteness!

So this announcement is COMPLETELY crazy. Like outta my mind crazy....especially since I just got Rogue....but....we have decide to hang onto this guy and see how he matures!!! Other than his ears being a lil heavier than I like he is pretty awesome.Built like a brick house in a small package!!! And a year down the road I don't want to have huge regrets that we let him go! As a breeder we don't get to just choose based on color and temperment! We have to look at the whole package. Genetics, conformation,disposition,past pups produced from parents....the list is long. This is a first time cross so we will see. That being said you often don't see all of these things come together for 12-24 months ...or longer! Anxious to see how this homegrown cutie comes together. Name yet to be decided!

Ok guys I am going to share with you a scary incident that happened this afternoon! Hopefully it will help someone else down the road!
Because we are kinda rural and can't always get into vet right away I keep a vet box handy for emergencies! And I(almost always... but almost doesn't count)keep Benadryl in it! Well a couple months ago I cleaned it out and threw away an expired box! Note to self ALWAYS replace right away and check supplies frequently!!! Anyways I had taken dogs out to potty before I left for my afternoon route. Was about ready to walk out the door and went to put little baby Rouge in his kennel and his muzzle was about 6" wide! At first I thought he had a stick stuck in his mouth! But no! It was swollen from what I am guessing was a bee or wasp sting! Either can swell the throat shut or close nostrils off so much they can't breathe! It is 25 min to the vet. 15 to the nearest pharmacy! My BFF works at the pharmacy so I loaded him up and met her in the parking lot with the Benadryl! Scary! As fast as it was swelling I consider myself very lucky he made it! Years ago Rowdies sister Sage did this and went into anaphylatic shock. A dose of Benadryl gave me time to make it to vet! Do your own research and learn dosages which go by the weight of your dog! But always a good thing to have it on hand! I also always keep peroxide and activated charcoal in case of accidental ingestion of poison. NOT a replacement for a vet but can buy you some time. Again research yourself and be prepared ahead of time! Sometimes mere minutes can make a difference! This pic is about 20min after the Benadryl it was swollen twice as wide as this! Thank goodness my baby is gonna be ok!

Yah know I fell in love with Rogue when he was 1 day old! Found the pic on the right the other day of Ms.Rowdie when we first got her! No wonder I love him. Can't believe how much they look alike! It might be hard to believe but I used to be a total standard aussie snob and swore I would never have minis! Then we got Ms. Rowdie and it totally changed my mind. Same dogs...smaller package! I know many of you here have a little out of Rowdie. She is retired now and the resident babysitter of pups and grandbabies!

Sooo...it's not that I have really been keeping this a secret it's just that we have been super busy between school stuff for our kid and the new pups and the new grandbaby! But anyways... some of you close to me know in the fall I was diagnosed with scoliosis and a couple of degenerated disc in my back. The big dogs are getting harder for me to handle and even before that we have been trying to go more towards minis just because of my age. This is my 3rd time trying for a smaller male over the past 2 1/2 years! Chaos came back with CDDY(a degenerative disc disease)which I personally chose not to breed for.Then last year we got Chrome whom I love and we will have a couple litters out of him. How ever he was supposed to a toy/mini and is now 21" and 65lbs! Definitely not a mini! So here we go again and hopefully "3rd times a charm"( I wanted to name him this but my house full of guys didn't like it 😞)

These little cuties turned 1 week old yesterday! Saturday we went for a vet check and got tails and dewclaws done! Lil Mr red tiny boy...now Quigley... is doing amazing and trying to catch up in weight! In honor of my newest grandbaby Quinten who was born just a few days before these guys this is going to be the Q litter!

Ok guys! Lighting still isn't great and Mrs.Marquee isn't really wanting me to mess with pups much yet so just a couple pics. We will do better ones in a few days when everyone is settled down! I have a couple ppl on the wait list but I will not take any $$ for dep for a couple weeks til we make sure everyone is good. LITTLE red man still worries me but he is nursing good and active! It's been almost a year since we have had babies! It's been 3 or 4 since we have had little itty bitties.
I think she's done... 1 blue merle girl, 1 black tri girl,1 red tri boy, 2 blue merle boys. Little red boy is very tiny so keep him in your prayers. I will post pics in the morning when we have good light!
