These two incredible boys are the last of their litter still searching for their forever homes. At just over 6 months old, it seems like they’ve suddenly become “too old” to be noticed… or is it because they’re black dogs, often unfairly overlooked?

🎆🐾 4th of July Pup Safety Tips 🐾🎆
Keep the Fireworks Fun – Not Frightening!

While we’re enjoying BBQs and fireworks, our furry friends might be feeling stressed or scared. Keep your pup safe and happy this Independence Day with these simple tips:

🔒 Secure the Space – Keep your dog indoors during fireworks. A quiet room with their favorite blanket and toys works best.

🆔 Tag It Up – Make sure your dog is microchipped and wearing a collar with up-to-date ID tags. Fireworks = more lost pets than any other day of the year.

🔊 Muffle the Booms – Play calming music, turn on the TV, or use a white noise machine to help mask the sound of fireworks.

🍗 BBQ Beware – Keep dogs away from grill scraps, alcohol, and party foods. Many are toxic (yes, even corn cobs!).

🚫 No Glow, No Go – Glow sticks, sparklers, and fireworks are a no-no for curious pups. Keep them out of reach.

💤 Walk Early, Relax Late – Exercise your dog before the festivities begin. A tired pup is a calmer pup.

Hey everybody, it's $5 Friday!

Over the past 2 ½ months we've had 28 dog spays and neuters and 20 cat spays and neuters! Vet care can be expensive, the spays and neuters alone can cost more than our adoption fee. We keep our adoption fee low though because getting these babies into good furever homes is the most important thing!

We know money is tight, and that's why we're only asking for a few bucks. For the cost of your morning coffee, you can help raise funds that will help Hard Licker stay going. The money you help us raise by chipping in $5 today will go toward things like vet care, spays and neuters, food, treats, toys, and transport for all the animals in our care.

Why are we surprised when children bully other children when adults are doing it just the same. The harassment, the slander, and the desire to pull people down without even searching for the truth - we know this feeling all too well and consequences will be dealt.

We will continue to fight and we will fight for Mikayla. We did not know her personally, we know where her heart was and what it takes to be fully vested in Rescue. Why are other rescues and so-called animal lovers viciously attacking other rescues and shelters when this world is hard enough!

We are so sorry, Mikayla, that others pushed their insecurities, ineptness, and evil onto you.

Remember to always be the light even when the world feels dark.

Miss Pickles had a great run with K9 Kardio at !! We are definitely having Megan come out this winter to give the pups at the Ranch a good stimulating exercise bout! 🏃‍♀️
