Things I've lived and learned these past few years
Not doing any more leases, absolutely none, that's a headache and high blood pressure
Not doing any more consignments unless they are 10k up with a ppe done
All horses coming in for tune ups, owners will need to show demonstration of how they currently ride their horse before I take on said horse.
All horses will be videoed with their riders before going home or sold.
Adding another paper to the stacks of forms already that will be signed at the end of training that rider had observed, rode, and was satisfied with horses training
Absolutely no more undercutting myself is prob the top one. Prices for now on are 50 a ride and staying at 1700 a month for training. Unless we've already spoke on an agreement. This is for anything new
Definitely not taking any back yard trainer/sellers word for anything out here on horses for sale or what a horse knows
Nomore one ride tune ups, there's no such thing and I will start openly saying how I feel when asked for this. Either you put the horse in a program or find someone else
I'm sure there is more to add here I've definitely learned. But that's how having your own business goes and how we grow. You live and learn. I know my worth grows as well and that's my number one thing I need to start doing is realizing it and stop undercutting myself. I can be humble and accept my mistakes and screw ups and lessons all while realizing what I'm worth as well.
I put in hard work to barely be able to get by and I'm stopping that. If this seems offensive to people and to expensive, well sounds like a you problem not me

Whiskey 3 yr old quarter will be completed with his schooling Thursday.
Came in stubborn and slow. Going home willing, loving to ride trails, point and go, and keeps up with the best of the other horses riding trails. We have buttons and back up now. Riding in a hack and even ba****ck
