The bordetella vaccine is used to prevent kennel cough in dogs, a highly contagious respiratory infection. It is boosted every 6 months or once annually, dependent on your dog’s lifestyle. Although dogs who are social with other dogs are most likely to catch kennel cough, antisocial dogs can be affected too! Darla was so brave for her exam today, she let Dr. Doumani check all of her paws for foxtails and wagged the whole way through🩵🩺🥼 Foxtail season has arrived, so be sure to check your pet’s feet, fur and ears for sticky plant material after being outside🌾🐾 Watch for symptoms like obsessive chewing of a particular spot on the body, limping on a certain foot, swelling, painful ears (or pain elsewhere in the body), bloody nose or sneezing.
