City of Del Rio Animal Services Our visiting hours are Monday and Wednesday, from 1:00 PM-4:30 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM.

The City of Del Rio Animal Services department exists to prevent the spread of disease from animals to humans, enforce local and state laws and increase the number of animals that leave the Animal Control facility alive.

Today, we pulled off a last-minute transport with Austin Pets Alive! up in Castroville, and we couldn’t be more grateful. They met us on short notice to take in our dogs, giving us much-needed space as we were at maximum capacity.

But we still need your help—fosters are essential to our mission. Without temporary homes, it’s challenging to continue rescues. If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is the time!

We have 4 dogs already tagged for rescue, but they can’t leave without a foster home. If you’ve ever considered fostering — now is the time to act.
