Rio Vista Farm, located on the banks of the Colorado River, opened to the public in 1995 and quickly became the premier Hunter/Jumper stable of Austin. Dotted with Pecan trees, fresh growing coastal hay, grassy turn-out paddocks (with sprinkler systems) and a private lake, our 500+ acre facility offers plenty of room to roam. Our large 100’ x 250’ covered arena, 2 large riding arenas (with lights
and sprinkler systems) and open pasture riding space are unmatched by any other Austin facilities and make up Austin’s “Horse Heaven.”
Rio Vista offers top quality care and professional training for both horses and riders of all levels. We are a full care Hunter Jumper Boarding and Hunter Jumper Training Facility serving Austin and the surrounding area. We have trainers skilled in teaching those competing at the local circuit level (Central Texas Hunter/Jumper Association) and across Texas and the US at the “A” show level (THJA and USEF). We have instructors to teach beginning riders (starting at age 7) on our lesson horses or your own horse. Owners and Trainers Susan and Bill McMorris have helped many riders achieve their goals, from improving their skills to winning multiple year end high point awards in all divisions. Rio Vista Farm and Susan and Bill hope to infect riders with their love of the sport and the horse by offering the best in training, instruction and care to riders and horses/ponies of all levels
Rio Vista does more than just attend shows. We compete in shows at the local circuit level and across Texas and the US at the “A” show level.
